Hanover County...

Goochland County here...

I respectively disagree with you premise. The only thing holding Barry up in the polls is his like-ability. Beginning with the second debate, that ended due to the way the game was played. Barry will continue to sink.

The last debates are not about satisfying your base, they are about getting the mushy middle. Romney is now better liked and Barry came off as unlikeable. That is the goal at this time in the campaign.

There is no reason why this should even be a close election.

There was no reason 0bama beat McCain or Hillary for that matter. Those who would vote for 0bama or think of voting for him are not using reason to make their choice.

>>>BS. Mitt Milquetoast came across as a double talking say nothing BS’er pol last night.

Wrong again. The people who MATTER (the undecideds)disagree with you. If you are right...we should see the race tighten...but it won't.

Usually I thing BOR is full of it, but tonite he is on target about Mitt Milquetoast. He thinks the polls will tightening now as a result of the timid Romney performance.

Did you know that Mitt had the flu during the debate? He kept it together extremely well under the circumstances.

BOR is an obnoxious blowhard with the social skills of Pol Pot.

He has a history of sexual harassment with his staff and has a tin ear when dealing with women.

Obama, as a muslim, also has a problem with independent women, and is tanking in the polls with them.

It's easy to take shots at Romney, but he is winning against an incumbent president and a US media that is relentless in their coordinated attacks against him. We are fortunate that a highly successful individual is willing to put his reputation and family's privacy on the line for the future of our country.

This contest reminds me of the OJ trial where Christopher Darden, an affirmative action hire, was outclassed by the highly successful OJ defense team. My money is on the handsome, highly successful and humble candidate that works well with others and has donated his invaluable services to the public free.

Yea, i don’t get the reaction myself. If you don’t depress the Republican vote Obama is gone in two weeks. Just wait two weeks and then start working to get Mitt out in 2016. Obama is the target right now

Romney will gain from 0.5 to an entire point from his performance. Masterly, just masterly.

I'm not a big Mitt, fan, but I thought he handled himself well in all 3 debates. In fact, I would say that Mitt handled himself in the third debate pretty much the same way that he handled himself in the first debate. The only real difference was that Obama's handlers lit a fire under his ass for the second two debates. However, the forced and artificial "fire" that Obama had only made him seem unstable and angry, while Romney stayed even throughout.

The important thing in these debates, in my opinion, is who manages to maintain the proper frame. Obama tried to get alpha dog in Romney, and Romney just dismissed him. In the third debate, this was more apparent than ever, as Obama kept trying to interrupt Romney and Romney just ignored him, unflinchingly, like Obama was just some pesky kid at a family BBQ. It was subtle, but Romney made Obama look like the trying-too-hard upstart rather than the POTUS. Since most dumbed down idiot American voters go on instinct and mere impressions rather than actual data these days, this subtle frame will go a long way in favor of Romney. Mitt also showed his underlying strategy in the third debate, which was apparently to let Obama make himself look like an immature fool, when he said, twice, "Look, attacking me isn't a policy. Attacking me doesn't solve anything. Attacking me isn't a plan." It really shone the spotlight on the amount of personal attacks Obama engaged in, rather than describing, coherently, his own ideas.

Whatever the polls are doing in response to these debates is irrelevant. The polling numbers are always suspect, but it seems like this election season has seen a lot of outright horsesh**, with wild swings depending on who takes the poll. I would not take any of them seriously, at all. Period. Nor would I worry about what the talking heads are saying. None of them has the slightest idea what the average American thinks, nor do they care. They exist as mere propaganda ministers.

Mitt did well.

“Most of us knew Romney would make a lousy RINO candidate.”

Nonsense. Romney whipped the other Repubs in the primaries managed to keep in line the primma donna so-cons while also getting the woman’s vote. Took on an incumbent president who’s also a well funded Chicago thug plus the MSM gaurd dogs.
And last night Romney sat there with a serene smile on his face and you want to know why?

He knows he’s got this.

I am no wat=y a good chess player but I do know the goal and prerequisite is to checkmate the opponents king.
The debates put into chess parlance Mitt and his handlers played a hell of a game. I am of the opinion that Zero can resign or ,if you pardon the expression, be mated on November 6.

I think many at this site could have done better than Mitt Romney on Libya.

But what about Eqypt? When they burned our flag in Eqypt Obama’s administration apologized for the video and Romney rightly called this an outrage. Then Libya happened and events overshadowed Eqypt. But I never forgot Eqypt. My threshold of outrage is much lower than what they did in Libya.

Romney should bring up both Eqypt and Libya together because Obama screwed up both of these countries and was partially responsible for what happened in both places.

“Yeah, ignore all the polling, all the focus groups all the factual data, let us just focus on what the always whining choir thinks instead.”

I saw 4 or 5 polls that showed Romney losing the debate significantly. Only shills and the echo-chamber that has become the once great free thinking conservative movement is trying to spin Romney agreeing with Obama about everything as a victory.

I agree on most of what you said. I would also add that simply batting at Obama was only half the battle. While I wish he would just bat at Obama, on the other hand, I am actually happy he didn’t simply because to win, you have to put forward, or at least arouse more interest, in whatever it is you wish to say, Obama totally dropped the ball, and I was glad that Romney let Obama go rabid and out of control, pretty much let him act like the imbecile he was and is.

There is no reason why this should even be a close election.

Except for the fact that half the electorate are idiots and/or leaches that eat up the class envy rhetoric.

BOR is a rude, loudmouth, obnoxious bore that would have behaved just like zero did. that’s why he is not the POTUS and makes his living making an ass out of himself. I’m happy mitt was presidential. We saw yesterday why zero has been so unsuccessful working with congress and why mitt has a history of working successfully with all types of people. who would you rather have representing the country?
