The Obama campaign has launched its “For All” campaign, encouraging supporters to take pictures of themselves with their hands on their hearts and a note explaining why they support President Obama.
Actress Jessica Alba uses the Pledge of Allegiance as an example of the campaign in an email to supporters.
“Growing up, my classmates and I started every day with a ritual: We’d stand up, put our right hand over our hearts, and say the Pledge of Allegiance,” explains Alba. “To me, that gesture was a promise. A promise to be involved and engaged in this country’s future. A promise to work for liberty and justice — and for affordable education, health care, and equality — for all.”

Never in my life have I see the kind of visual cultishness cultivated by a presidential campaign as I've seen with Obama.
I happened across a quote today about the 2009 Star Trek film and immediately thought of Obama:

Oh I know what this picture’s from! This is from “Night of the Hunter”, with Robert Mitchum playing the evil preacher Harry Powell! This movie was creepy because partly the atmospherics (black and white film) and Mitchum’s chilling performance! Also, he sang as he was riding along looking for his stepchildren so he could find them and kill them!

I can think of about ten films that transcend the medium, like “Vertigo” and “2001.” “Night of the Hunter” is one of them.
As you mentioned, his pursuit of the children is chilling. Other unforgettable images (spoiler alert!) include a female victim’s hair “blowing” in the river current, and the opening shot of a woman’s legs protruding from a basement bulkhead.
Highly recommended.

“Equal Pay” - I wonder if Jessica makes as much as that struggling actress who is doing waitressing on the side? Shouldn’t these rich actresses spread their wealth around to make it more fair? Jessica Alba gives a remarkable performance in one of her best roles yet. Playing a concerned, informed voter she pledges her support for our inept leader. Jessica stated it was an easy role to play I just kept in my mind the tremendous tax breaks the current administration affords us mega rich actors, they way we can get tax breaks, structure hit movies that somehow never make a profit and arrange my pay like an investment so I don’t have to pay for the programs I support.

They can't speak in public unless they are reading someone else's script, which is agitprop 99.9% of the time.

If they aren't perfect (and who is), they often undergo questionable (some would say experimental) surgical procedures. Of course, they are required to do this by their "agents" or they will be "terminated." There is no option to say no.
They're all on the verge of starvation.
They're forced into manual labor at "gyms" for four hours every day.
When they are no longer young and beautiful (say at 30), they are turned loose in the wild and abandoned. The smart ones have either married up or saved some money. The others turn into Bridgitte Bardot screeching about animal rights or end up like Whitney Houston.
Sounds to me like they're living pretty close to the fascist state already. And it is a life they each CHOSE. Now they need to just give up the rest of their income to the Party.
