“Any Republican legislator faced with this vote is going to think twice,” said Robert Bellafiore, a political commentator and former top aide to Republican Gov. George Pataki of New York. “I don’t think there is any question this going to have a chilling effect across the country.”

This is good to hear.

The key word here is not independent but "moderate" independent.

Mant GOP "advisors" claim all independents are "moderate" but they are far from the truth, yet they persist in advising their candidates to lean left of center to hold onto that precious independent voter, presuming that voter to be "moderate."

A “caution” for pro-sodomites is more like it.

Same with Democrats.

I am convinced Obamugabe has abandoned hope for North Carolina because he now openly embraces sodomy.

If people are awakened, they’ll vote against him in most of the 50 states because of that issue, too....

as well as: higher gasoline prices, diminished American reputation abroad, high unemployment, and the increased debt.

The reasons to vote against Obamugabe are legion.
The reasons to vote for Obamugabe are nil.

WOOHOO! Very glad to see this!

From what I heard, the established Republicans voted for gay marriage in exchange for buckets of money toward their reelection... THE SCUM. I’m thrilled that the challengers did well even though they were vastly outspent by the progressive flood of money helping the traitors.

Other factors to watch are Gov. Cuomo’s dealmaking in redistricting to make sure the GOP kept majority in the State Senate, and the fact this was NY’s third primary. Extremely low turnout would have given the advantage to GOP primary voters who felt strongly about the issue.

Three Iowa Supreme Court justices also got the boot and were voted out in 2010 for sanctioning same sex marriage. Don’t trifle with the will of the people!

Republican primary voters in New York punished two incumbents last week who voted to legalize same-sex marriage

You side with the perverts and it will always come back to haunt you...

"Gay marriage is a very, very tricky issue, particularly for Republicans," said Lawrence Levy, executive dean of the National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra University.

Could it be that voters want people who will actually represent their views? Stop caving to the minority, sheepdips!

Sidenote of interest: I saw the headline on this thread and thought for sure what I would read would be the exact opposite of the report's contents. I sighed upon discovering I was wrong; I am encouraged by the tiniest bit of progress we make toward returning to the moral country we used to be.

...but not turn off the moderate voters who support gay marriage...
If "moderate voters" really favored gay marriage, they and the liberals could have passed it in at least one of the around 30 (I believe) states which have held votes on it.

the media yet again think or try and make people think that the turd poking agenda is what people want.

The only caution for any elected oficials is to vote for the turd poking agenda.

Time after time people have said no and yes they might squeeze through one or two states in the next two decades but the fact is most do not want it
