DNC 2012: Our neurotic and narcissistic president speaks
The Washington Times ^ | September 7, 2012 | Rich Stowell

SALT LAKE CITY, September 7, 2012—President Obama is unfit for office according to all sorts of practical criteria.

As Hugh Hewitt puts it in his column, "America does not need four more years of an in-over-his-head whiner; a petulant egomaniac who does not seem to understand the most basic of economic principles and who is a lousy negotiator to boot."

Our commander in chief has demonstrated time and again that he cannot work with opposition, that he is unable to see issues from others' point of view, and he has failed to think outside of the tiny and highly constrained liberal box vis a vis the big problems of our nation.

Atop all of that, he displays classic neurotic and narcissistic tendencies.

According to academics, neurotics approach conflict in unhealthy ways: "they rely on direct and indirect fighting," they" perceive their social situation negatively" causing them to distrust others, and when confronted, they "act defensive, use guilt-inducements, and leave the scene in a 'hit and run' manner."

While a neurotic president is dangerous enough, Barack Obama is also a quintessential narcissist. The literature states that narcissists tend to display several characteristics, all of which the president has nailed.

Barry’s problem is, after the GOP convention, he now believes that he’s a chair too.

Did that really happen, or is this just a really good PhotoShop job?

Mr. “I am the President” has burned alot of bridges these past years. How will he get them back?
Economic growth is the only way out of this malaise and I don’t see any leftists tackling the structural issues.

The Demobrat Party (formerly the traditional, patriot Democratic Party) and narcissism explained.

I remember.

The 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats were celebrated in the MSM as the most intelligent generation ever!. They are now arguably that very establishment that praised them and they hold themselves and their ideological issue in even higher regard.

They hijacked the now defunct Democratic Party in the 1970s. The new party is the Demobrat Party consisting of the aged 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus psycho spoiled brats and their bratty ideological issue. The fault is ours. Abe will explain from "the other side."

You initiated a policy to tolerate the Marxist-Alinsky radicals and let them rant; not only has it not ceased but was constantly augmented by decades of infiltration and indoctrination. You now have two Americas. In my opinion, it will not cease until a crisis shall have been reached and passed. "A house divided against itself cannot stand." I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half statist and half free; I do not expect the house to fall; but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing, or all the other.

Obama is a biological-ideological issue of the 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats. It's just simple, plain old-fashion brattiness.

Hmmm....what expert wrote “act defensive” - not English - act is a verb, therefore the word that modifies it must be an adverb - one cannot act strange, defensive, courageous or decisive - it’ s act strangely, defensively, courageously, decisively.

Barry is trying to figure out if he can pull it off. Libya, Egypt, Iraq and Syria, all designed to strengthen the Muslim world. Are Americans fool enough to really believe Arab Spring?

The US is being destroyed from within. Low interest rates keep the economy from collapsing but there is no improvement. Barry Hussein has let the radical left in this country destroy at will with the EPA, the courts.....

This article was written in 2004 and it is before anybody even heard of Barry Hussein. It says that the economy was “poised for a beautiful recovery, but that recovery was stalled by these misguided policies.” In other words, the Great Depression was caused by Roosevelt.”

Hussein is attempting to do the same thing. FDR was a leftist fool, Barry is doing it on purpose. It’s called Treason.

Will you finally figure it out when Hussein finally shows you why he is doing all he can to prevent the US from becoming energy independent? How about when Sharia law is unveiled?

This is one of the confusing areas of English grammar and usage. Act is a verb but sometimes it is a linking verb, which connects a subject to a subject complement. The regular verb is modified by an adverb, but a linking verb links a verb to a subject complement, which is an adjective.
As a regular verb: “Clint Eastwood acted superbly in his newest film role.” As a linking verb: “The bully acted mean.”

A man can stand independently (regular verb) or he can stand strong (linking verb). A woman can smell professionally in a perfume factory (regular verb), or she can smell good (linking verb). The crowd appeared suddenly (regular verb). The crowd appeared happy (linking verb).

Some linking verbs are: smell, look, taste, feel, sound (related to the senses); and become, grow, be, seem, sit, stand (related to existence).

A lotta folks asked that, when that clip first showed up. I've heard that it's a really good CGI job. Still fits his character, though.

Yes, you can “act happy” to put on a front, because it’s an act - but in the vase of this article, where it is not an act, the correct word is defensively.

You miss “the bully acted mean.” The bully is most likely very sincere about his meanness. Nonetheless we hardly ever say “the bully acted meanly.”
