Actually, IMO the Founders were only trying to keep Frenchmen or Germans from becoming POTUS. They could not POSSIBLY have imagined what we are up against today.....

I’m wondering if Morsy’s sense of entitlement and arrogance comes from his background as an assistant professor of engineering (at Cal State Northridge from 1982-1985).
I thought it was also geared towards British subjects? NO?

All those people who claim the Constitution requires only place of birth as for POTUSA eligibility had better take a hard, deep look at what Morsy has now exposed. What applies to Morsy’s son also applies to any child of a border crossing for welfare mom. The Founders discussed and voted about such possibilities and then used the word ‘natural’ to make their very specific requirement a part of the Constitution. Over my years which predate WWII I have seen many instances where laws passed under the umbrella of the Constitution have been twisted and bent, clouded, wrung inside and out, but only in the last few years have I seen/learned so much of this kind of behavior being attempted on the Constitution itself. Our Founders had wisdom beyond the centuries.
