Paul Ryan's Speech in Three Words (A Community Organizer Delivers the Opposition's "Facts")
FoxNews.com ^ | 8/29/2012 | Sally Kohn

Posted on 08/30/2012 10:37:55 AM PDT by GVnana

Excerpted.

"...to anyone paying the slightest bit of attention to facts, Ryan’s speech was an apparent attempt to set the world record for the greatest number of blatant lies and misrepresentations slipped into a single political speech. On this measure, while it was Romney who ran the Olympics, Ryan earned the gold.

The good news is that the Romney-Ryan campaign has likely created dozens of new jobs among the legions of additional fact checkers that media outlets are rushing to hire to sift through the mountain of cow dung that flowed from Ryan’s mouth. Said fact checkers have already condemned certain arguments that Ryan still irresponsibly repeated."

->snip<-

Fact: While Ryan tried to pin the downgrade of the United States’ credit rating on spending under President Obama, the credit rating was actually downgraded because Republicans threatened not to raise the debt ceiling.

Fact: While Ryan blamed President Obama for the shut down of a GM plant in Janesville, Wisconsin, the plant was actually closed under President George W. Bush. Ryan actually asked for federal spending to save the plant, while Romney has criticized the auto industry bailout that President Obama ultimately enacted to prevent other plants from closing.

Fact: Though Ryan insisted that President Obama wants to give all the credit for private sector success to government, that isn't what the president said. Period.

Fact: Though Paul Ryan accused President Obama of taking $716 billion out of Medicare, the fact is that that amount was savings in Medicare reimbursement rates (which, incidentally, save Medicare recipients out-of-pocket costs, too) and Ryan himself embraced these savings in his budget plan.

More "facts" at the link. Notice there is no space for comments on Kohn's diatribe.

I'd expect to see these barrel scrapings on MSNBC, not FOX. Perhaps Kohn is angling for David Chalian's job.

Many of these “fact” checkers are Obama babies; and nothing gonna get past them that’ll hurt their “Daddy O”.

She never wrote this, just forwarded it from the DNC HQ. Guess all those savings are why doctors are no longer taking new Medicare patients. What a corrupt fraud.

Pray for America

Of course Sally is right - unemployment isn't at 8.2%, the economy isn't growing at less than 2% per year, the debt hasn't grown from 9 to 16 trillion and Obama hasn't set us at each other's throats.

In fact, everything is just great.

The republicans are lying. Thats it.

The author of this piece is lying.

The Janesville GM plant actually closed in 2009 and was decommissioned in 2010...all this AFTER an Obama visit in 2008 (as told by Ryan last night).

Fact: While Ryan tried to pin the downgrade of the United States’ credit rating on spending under President Obama, the credit rating was actually downgraded because Republicans threatened not to raise the debt ceiling.

Thats all I needed to read.

So let me see if I understand this person with an IQ slightly below that of a garden nome.

Our CREDIT (debt) rating was dropped BECAUSE Republicans threatened not to RAISE DEBT (credit) ceiling.

So if I understand her correctly, if I just go out and apply for and receive more credit cards, then take my new cards plus my existing cards and run them to the hilt, my credit rating will stay good?

So we are supposed to accept these as "facts" because Kohn said so? Bwhahahahahahaa. We need to call her "rinse cycle" from now on becuase of all the spinning.

The strategy here is becoming clear. They will falsely accuse the pubs of constant lying because they know Obama and Biden are going to lie their a***s off and this is just to innoculate them for when the pubs call them out on it. Dems always accuse pubs of doing what the dems are already doing.
