Mitt Romney called on Harry Reid Tuesday to reveal the source for his claim that the Republican presidential candidate has not paid taxes for 10 years, stepping up pressure as two major fact-check sites ruled Reid had no basis for the "incendiary" allegation.
Romney, in an interview with Fox News, said he doesn't believe Reid has a credible source but urged the Senate Democratic leader to reveal who it is.
"I don't really believe that he's got any kind of a credible source," Romney said. "I don't know who gave him this line of reasoning, whether it came from the White House or the DNC or a staffer, but he ought to say where it came from, and then we can find out whether that person has any credibility. I know they don't."
He said Reid also has "lost a lot of credibility."
Romney's latest comments came as two major fact-check sites knocked down Reid's comments, which the senator amplified by repeating them last week on the Senate floor. Reid has said his source is an investor with Romney's former venture capital company Bain.
But PolitiFact wrote that it is "far-fetched" to believe Romney paid no taxes for 10 years.

Reid is not saying he illegally paid no taxes but that he used legal loopholes to avoid paying them.

So we’re suppose to believe that: 1)Romney didn’t pay taxes for 10 years and yet decided to run for president - twice - thinking that noone would find that out, and 2)Romney didn’t pay taxes for 10 years and the IRS didn’t notice.
It just doesn’t pass the smell test.
I think that Romney should SEAL his Federal and State Tax Records.
Hell, he could collect a bounty from the IRS for reporting a mega tax cheat.

When the MC at a McCain rally in ‘08 (Bill Cunningham) mentioned, Barack “Hussein” Obama, McCain had a fit. McCain was never willing to take on the Chicago mob and he did get his butt handed to him. I’m not suggesting what exactly Romney should do other than be willing to go toe to toe with Axelrod, Gibbs and the rest of the rats, as/if required. They don’t play by the Marquess of Queensberry Rules; never have, never will.

Greg Garrison pointed out this am on his show that the first of each month brings out a new outrageous allegation.
So the MSM can talk about something other than the unemployment report.
What Romney needs to do is completely ignore Harry Reid, and say he is doing so because he is focusing on the American people and how the current President is not helping them. He can also mention it’s interesting that President Obama hasn’t thought this was important enough of a matter to speak to and so Romney is going to focus on the important stuff because what Harry Reid thinks is of little consequence to him.
Just my two cents

In the meantime, Romney should also call for Obama to UNSEAL his college records, even as Romney shows his own college records. GO ON THE OFFENSIVE MAN.
