2:17, fun begins at the 50 sec. mark
My local paper covered “almost two dozen Occupy protesters” in Tampa some time back... but Chick fil A? Nothing. Maybe tomorrow...
The Communist Broadcasting System....nothing new.
Surprise!
Wow!
We expect no more from the LSM...
I know BS when I CBS.......
It was both appreciation and a protest. I was there today to protest the fact that the media and some in government are trying to bully me into remaining silent. I will not be coerced into giving up my freedom of thought and speech by those saying my Christian based beliefs are hate speech. If we don’t take these stands now, we won’t be able to at all later. So yes, today I had a delicious protest and I refuse to be silent.
Correct, it was a protest. One the MSM didn’t agree with with, so they refused to cover it. However, if three whiny liberals show up at one CBS will be covering “nearly a dozen” protesters.
ping
bump
Everyone needs to let CBS know how we feel about this
If only Cindy Sheehan had been there.
At this stage of the game, I’m annoyed anyone is annoyed at the press. We know what they are about; they’ve done all but announced it. Anyone expecting nonpartisan or fair treatment is on crack.
As far as the MSM is concerned, if it's against some Leftist cause, then it's not a legitimate protest and therefore not worthy of coverage.
It's been that way for years. If anyone ain't figured out that we've got to do or own reporting, they're way behind.
CBS Atlanta? Not surprised.
Chick-Fil-A is in the same league as Coca-Cola as an Atlanta icon. Both companies walk-on-water as far as the locals are concerned.
UPS, Home Depot, CNN, Cox Broadcasting, & Delta are all Atlanta corporate icons also, but none of them are in the same league goodwill wise as Chick-Fil-A or Coca-Cola—not even close.
There is simply no way a local Atlanta TV station could do a negative story on Chick-Fil-A and not have a firestorm rain down on them. It looks like CBS Atlanta has decided to try and ignore it and hope it goes away soon.
Of course, they could do a positive story about all the people showing up. But, they fact that they don’t want to do that tells you about the station’s bias.
Its almost like they are saying, “you’re either with us or you’re against us”
Its almost like they are saying, “you’re either with us or you’re against us”
they have no idea what they have awakened.
we are primed and we are going to vote.
Good for you...and God Bless.
There is relatively little time left...the government WILL be coming after Christians within a few years. Now, they are driving us to the margins...later, there will be jail time.
It is coming.
Anybody with a video camera or cell phone camera ought to be recording the lines at Chick-fil-A and posting the videos on YouTube to document this. This should be SOP any time conservatives get together for counter-demonstrations like this.
It wouldn’t be wise for the major news outlets to either not report or minimize this story. It’s not like the stores were a just little busy today... STORES ACROSS THE COUNTRY WERE OVERWHELEMED ALL DAY BY AMERICANS STANDING UP FOR A PRIVATE BUSINESS BEING ATTACKED FOR HAVING GOOD MORAL VALUES.

Thanks for the pleasant ride, conductor, which are the men's showers? |
I wonder if CBS will stay away from covering an Obama defeat in November.
The queers have to get permits to protest, don’t they?
If-when Mitt wins, he’ll have to get Bain to buy out a lot of media so we can have some news back.
do I really have to say it???
you missed the point
they would film a protest of the local Atlanta CFA but when they found out it was not a protest but rather support for CFA they flaked out
liberal media in Atlanta will flame local business
the Cox-Chambers sisters did it for years
Interesting post........
Our local ABC news interviewed the Houston gay mayor who announced that she won’t be visiting Chick-a-Filet today - imagine that! They did show some aerial photos showing long lines at all the CFA’s and then the broadcaster said they weren’t really sure who or what was really behind all this increase in traffic.
The one thing I will have to give them credit for is that they ran more ads from Cruz than anti-Cruz ads from Dewhurst. There was another issue about a year ago that I wrote the station manager about - his response was that the local station did not make the final decision on programming. Told him they should not refer to themselves as the local news then.
I heard that Wendy’s was advertising they were supporting Chick Fil A today.
” I am sure it will all be different when the gay-brigade gets their moment in the sun in the next few days.”
Yup. And I’ll be there, laughing my a** off at the sissies while I munch on a delicious chicken sandwich. Care to join me? Should make for great television.
They did show some aerial photos showing long lines at all the CFAs and then the broadcaster said they werent really sure who or what was really behind all this increase in traffic.
Oh no, they didn’t!!! (seriously, I can’t believe they proved on air how stupid they are) Or were they trying to hint at some conspiracy/Koch Brothers thing??
The national corporation isn’t, but many local franchisees are. There have been reports of some Wendys putting up signs that say “Eat at Chik-Fil-A today” or similar signs of support. But it’s not a corporate-wide thing and the headquarters doesn’t support it.
“they have no idea what they have awakened.”
I’m thinking they might have an idea. :)
They got millions of regular folks to join together over a common cause like nothing we could have orchestrated if we tried.
I think probably millions because the people who attended all the C-F-A across America, their friends and family members talking about it,talk radio, and the supporters online.
It is BIG!
Has anyone seen any report on Drudge? I’m not finding any.
i don’t watch CBS-
The CBS affiliate in Savannah gave it top-of-the-newscast coverage and did it honestly.
I enjoyed reading a NPR article. They had to admit to the long lines and so on. Of course, they had to finish the peice by mentioning the ‘kiss in’ on friday.
My local CBS affiliate did cover it. However they spent a good percentage of the report showing a still pic of the one counterprotestor at the North Charleston SC location. He was holding a rainbow flag. They reported that he said he had plenty of honks of support. Why they didn't interview him on video tape ( they could have ) is anyones guess. Maybe they did and decided he was too goofy for prime time.
Nothing wrong with a small counter protest. We frequently have them. Except if it was a lib event and one Freeper Freeping the media would go out of their way to ignore it.
they were waiting to see any queers or left wing nut jobs protesting and when they saw the crowds of god Americans they said screw this lets leave.
Typical of the media today and yet again the media shows us why they are the biggest enemy to America
Probably because if they had vid he would either embarrass himself or their cause - or it would be obvious that the honks were people telling him to get out of the road so they could drive through.
My local ABC station did a fair report. The local NBC news appeared to ignore it.
He wasn’t blocking the road.
I don’t mean in the still, I mean in the potential video.
He was beside a major highway and far away from the store. If it was a Freep, it’s probably where we would stand. High visibility and no possible blockage of activity. My point is an interview with him would have probably ended up cut as it wouldn’t do his side any favors.
