At the unveiling ceremony of his official portrait at the White House today, former President George W. Bush got off some great one-liners!
People can say what they want about Dubya...but...he’s a true gentleman, a classy MAN, a fine, decent human being, and an American.
For myself, I don’t know that I could be that classy standing up there with Odumbo, knowing what he did to my country. I’ll leave it at that because I can feel the bile rising...
God bless ya, Dubya; and even though I had some major policy disagreements with him, I never, EVER doubted that he was an American first, and tried to do the right thing for his country.
Thanks for posting this, Fabrizio.
“I think there were many other things that got Obama elected.”
What? Like the economic collapse which occurred on Dubya’s watch? How about Medicare Part D? His Amnesty proposal? No Child Left Behind? Quit distancing Bush from the the blame and responsibility for Obama that is rightfully his.
Obama made reference Thursday to the economic problems he inherited upon taking office in 2009.
Our economy was in trouble, Americans were in pain, he said. But we didnt know until later how great the financial crisis had been.
But, Obama continued, Bush and his advisers helped make the transition of power as seamless as possible.
President Bush understood that rescuing the economy was not a Democratic or Republican issue, it was an American one, he said. Ill always be grateful.
I’m so confused. Perhaps you and the others can explain something.
Obama now won because of Bush? Those who refused to vote for McCain have claimed he was a rino, therefore, they couldn’t vote for him. Now, it’s Bush’s fault? Or, did they not vote for McCain due to his VP pick. No, wait, so many of the non-McCain voters claim they would support Sarah Palin now. So it can’t be that, either. It was TARP! That’s it. Conservatives stayed home and refused to vote for the person they now back, Sarah Palin because of Bush’s TARP!
I get it. When in doubt, blame Bush.
Honest to God, shame on you. If you don’t see the damage done by Obama, double shame on you.
Obmma would have won no matter who was running or who preceded him. This tendency by the left and some on the right to blame bush for everything is irrational. Sure Bush had his faults but they pale in comparison to obama who proves the adage that it can always be worse.
What you see in this thread are not bushbots (whatever that is) but those who have seen things get so bad that even george bush looks pretty good now. Heck even bill or hillary would be an improvement.
AMEN on all counts!
Mrs. Bush is pro-sodomite marriage. Don’t know if George W. Bush is still against it. He at one time favored an amendment protecting marriage.
Nice picture, nice photo.

“Obmma would have won no matter who was running or who preceded him.”
Ever heard of a guy called Reagan? See because he wasn’t a complete schmuck failure who threw our country into a ditch like Dubya, he was followed by a selected successor.
“Im so confused. Perhaps you and the others can explain something.Obama now won because of Bush?”
Obama won because Bush screwed this country up seven ways from Sunday. If Dumbo Dubya HADN’T been such a failure, the 2008 GOP candidate might have had a chance at election. But when you have an electorate so disgusted at Bush’s reign of error it’s hard to gain any traction even with Palin’s popularity. Take off the rose colored glasses.
Well aren’t you the windbag.
I will take his “reign of error” as you call it ANYTIME.
8.2% unemployment, debt that will can NEVER repay. We are being ridiculed around the world. I thought the world was supposed to love us after electing Obama? I mean that awful John McCain couldn’t get your support, right? It was Bush’s fault!
You or ANYONE who works to elect Obama again, are just so sad. Whats in it for you? Are you going to be happy to see total socialism in our great country? What unemployment rate would make YOU happy? 10%? 15? 20? Obama’s taking us in that direction.
But, right, you couldn’t vote for that awful John McCain, It was Bush’s fault!
