There are no do-overs. If they had killed that girl they would probably regret it for a long time. I’m quite well armed, thank you. But I think it most unwise to be shooting at motion in the dark. I want my targets well identified so I keep my booger hooker off the bang switch until I am sure I want to do a lead injection. I think it is the best practice.

I agree with you. Always check your target, always. If that means investing in a taclight for a rail on a pistol, fine. Just ensure you know for sure who/what you’re shooting. You don’t get to take it back.
