Recent polls have pointed toward a victory for Republican Gov. Scott Walker in Wisconsins June 5 recall election. But heres the clearest evidence to date that national Democratic party officials believe their side is losing: Democratic officials are playing down the potential impact.
Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) insisted in a television interview that a loss for the Democratic candidate in the recall, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, wouldn't have any implications for other races, such as the presidential election.
I think, honestly, there arent going to be any repercussions, Wasserman Schultz said on C-SPANs Newsmakers program. Its an election thats based in Wisconsin.

Good observation and worth repeating. It is obvious that the Democrats are pulling out every stop to steal this election so that they can establish the "comeback kid" meme and give a boost to the flagging Obama campaign.
It is thus important that every good citizen of Wisconsin come to to vote on June 5 and smash this recall bid down. I believe that Walker can still prevail in spite of the shenanigans going on currently and a solid Walker victory will utterly demoralize the Democrats because they will know that they actually lost by a much wider margin.
DWS is the spanish fly of propaganda... she and others like her don’t speak what is, they speak what they hope you will believe what is. And for their cause, they will suffer any amount of shame.
My spouse & I here in TX would like to join in on the popcorn.
Obamugabe. It’s probably been around awhile but this is the first time I noticed it. It’s poetic. It really rolls off the tongue. And so beautifully and truthfully descriptive.
As opposed to dishonestly, which is the way Debbie Blabbermouth thinks normally.
This woman is just pathetic.
The Rats protest in Madison they banged loud on the percussions. Well now its the conservative orchestra that will perform the grand finale with the repercussions.
We do wanna work, we just gonna bang drums election day.
That's right! We haven't won, until:
1 - Walker gets more votes; and
2 - there are no ongoing lawsuits challenging the election.
And this was in the LA Times? Don’t you know that it just killed them to print this? Bwahahaha.
I am confused about this. Buses unloading people, clearly not Wisconsin residents, who are going into to vote.
Where are the poll watchers; the Republican party of Wisconsin; the RNC? Where is Fox News? The cameras should be rolling and getting a photo of everyone stepping off that bus.
Walker will win, but to me this is an attempt to get the rights guard down.
I really think we are way too confident.
I'm on the Left Coast, so I can't be there to direct.
Capital P
Its easy to overlook one issue in WI, 84% of workers are in the private sector, unions represent 8% of them, while 15% of workers are in the public sector and unions represent 47% of them.
Those facts suggest the real battle is between 15% of WI workers in the public sector who have stolen state government from the 84% of workers who pay the bill and want to continue abusing their power, not authority, to impose their will upon those who sweat and toil for their daily bread.
Thats tyranny of the minority taken to its destructive end without an iota of support from moral arguments from the inalienable/unalienable rights foundation upon which our Declaration of Independence was crafted.
Send some of that popcorn money to Scott Walker’s campaign!!!
it’s not uncommon for innercity precincts to have more democrat votes than registered democrats. i don’t understand how that can go on in silence.
