TINLEY PARK, Ill. (STMW) — Five men were in custody Saturday night after they allegedly entered a restaurant and began beating patrons gathered for a wedding with bats in southwest suburban Tinley Park.
The attack occurred at the Ashford House Restaurant at 7959 159th St., said Tinley Park Fire Chief Ken Dunn.
The emergency call said a group of 15 people dressed all in black entered the restaurant at approximately 12:45 p.m., according to a police release. They were targeting a specific group of people eating in the restaurant.

Police believe the incident is isolated and not random.

The attackers flipped over tables, broke many dishes and left several diners needing to get stitches. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, 10 were hurt in the incident, three of whom were hospitalized.
A long-time waitress at the restaurant described the scene to the Tribune as "the scariest … day of my life. They took out the whole restaurant. It was absolutely horrible."
Five of the attackers are now in police custody, though no charges have been filed as of early Sunday.

Other articles identify the diners as an “Irish Heritage Group” although the hostess said she found that strange because none had an Irish accent. Stranger still, the attackers use what were described as 24 oz. “Railroad Hammers”.
Something needs to be done and done soon. These teapartiers are getting bolder and more violent by the day.
I think they were Methodists and they were upset that the meal was not pot-luck casaroles.
I have tried, diligently, to get my Give-A-Damn, ver.101 program to load. But, I realized those victims chose to be in a community where they were disarmed - CHOSE to be disarmed!
I won’t even consider calling the WAAAHmbulance for them. If one chooses to submit to being a victim, one can hardly make a valid claim for even sympathy when the modern day wolves attack.

Then again, truth does not matter to the OWS types, and I would not put it past the punks to make stuff up regarding stormfront ties (I’ve gotten the same).

This sort of thing wouldn’t likely happen in Colorado and other states. The reason? Just about everyone I know has a concealed carry permit and uses it.
It is actually humorous to contemplate an OWS group walking into our local pub with mischief on their minds. Their hammers and batons wouldn’t work very well.
There has been very little of this OWS nonsense in concealed carry states. I do not see this as coincidental.
