This would be my guess. Liberals already try to portray children as just “little adults” ignoring the fact that their limited life experience and still developing brains means they assess situations far differently than actual adults.
Another factor at play here, and studiously ignored by liberals, is the fact that homosexuals are several hundred times more likely to molest children (I’d call them pedophiles but liberals maintain you can molest children and not be a pedophile) than heterosexuals. Lowering the age of consent to 10 or so would be very beneficial to pedophiles in general and homosexuals in particular with their much higher rate of pedophilia.
The article correctly identifies age of consent laws as the next front in the culture war. After that, who knows? The Left rejects all limitations on behavior and expression, save only those that empower the individual at the expense of the State (hence the Leftist love of taxation and gun control).

All to take parental authority away from parents so they can further mislead the young and form them to their liking. They're already indoctrinating them Thur the education system.....so the "kids" will no doubt support any moves to make them "legal" at any young age.
Movies and TV are already showing kids in adult situations....so the "beast" isn't going to stop at all, rather expect it to move along at a rapid pace.

There is no rational way that you can argue that two consenting adults of the same sex can’t be kept from marrying each other and then say it’s not ok if 3 consenting adults want to.
If it’s a basic human right to marry someone of the same sex, surely it’s also a right to marry 2 at once.

An easier question would be “what’s NOT next”. A society that allows a perversion of this magnitutde is obviously one that rejects any notion of moral absolutes. In the absence of those limits, what behavior would it NOT tolerate?

The next battle politically will be some form of polygamy, but it won’t be associated with plural wives, but rather a sort of group marriage. The feminists would consider the legalization of plural wives to be a form of social oppression, so I wouldn’t see a move to legalize group marriage and polyandry while keeping polygyny illegal, but polygyny certainly will not be the focus of the battle in any case.
Advocacy for lowering of the age of consent will take at least a decade or two to become commonplace. Sodomite relations will have to be much more normalized than they are now to push further. At least all of the blue states will have had to have legalized sodomite marriage, along with a few major purple states.
I pray for national repentance before any of this happens. On the other side of this national nightmare is disaster should we go through with this horrible deed.
