SANFORD, Fla. —
WFTV has confirmed that autopsy results show 17-year-old Trayvon Martin had injuries to his knuckles when he died.
The information could support George Zimmerman's claim that Martin beat him up before Zimmerman shot and killed him.
The autopsy results come as Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O’Mara continues to go over other evidence in the case.
O’Mara wouldn't comment on the autopsy evidence, but WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said it's better for the defense than it is for the prosecution.
WFTV has learned that the medical examiner found two injuries on Martin’s body: The fatal gunshot wound and broken skin on his knuckles.
When you compare Trayvon’s non-fatal injury with Zimmerman's bloody head wounds, the autopsy evidence is better for the defense, Sheaffer said.
“It goes along with Zimmerman's story that he acted in self-defense, because he was getting beaten up by Trayvon Martin,” Sheaffer said.
The injury to Martin’s knuckle also fits with Zimmerman's story that before he shot and killed Martin, Martin had broken his nose and knocked him to the ground, slamming his head on the sidewalk.

And per medical report, Zimmerman had a broken nose, swollen face, and black eyes.
Zimmerman pounded Trayvon’s knuckles with his nose.
The racist interpretation is to suggest that Martin was beating George up. The correct interpretation is to say that George was the aggressor - he used his nose to repeatedly strike and injure Martin’s delicate and easily-bruised knuckles.
This is critical.
ABC is also reporting that Zimmerman was treated by doctor for broken nose, two black eyes, lacerations to back of head, injuries to upper lip and cheek, etc.
It’s all over.

I have seen fewer and fewer articles about this as more information comes out - it all started falling apart when the police video showed the injuries to Zimmerman’s head (despite the best efforts of the media to obscure the footage).
The story was destined to go away when Zimmerman’s court appearance was televised and America saw he really wasn’t very white.
Dragging one’s knuckles down that long concrete sidewalk would cause knuckl;e damage. Such damage would be especially apparent if the lil’ “knuckle dragger” had gotten up that morning and pared his knuckles.
Without his usual callosities, the sidewalk could have done the damage.

Damn right it’s over, especially if this doc took X-rays, shows them time stamped, and testifies to all that in court. And where does this lead? That GZ will be a very rich man with the lawsuits that could start flying against NBC, MSNBC, The NY Times, Obama, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Spike Lee, Roseanne Barr for defamation. Anything can happen. I think it was F. Lee Bailey who said that he told his clients not to think that the outcome was determined by guilt or innocence. Sad commentary.
Remember the widely quoted undertaker who announced Martin had no injuries. Of course the only area that gets bruised during a beating like that is the knuckle.

Only problem is that'll have the county prosecutor attacking other county/municipal employees. I don't see how that can work out as anything but a CF. Then again the whole thing is a massive CF already.
Also, if the local prosecutor screws it up badly enough, maybe Eric Holder will find something else to do with his time. Or maybe Darrell Issa will give him something else to do with his time. Or maybe he'll just run out of time.
