The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Mitt Romney earning 50% of the vote and President Obama attracting 43% support. Four percent (4%) would vote for a third party candidate, while another three percent (3%) are undecided.

It’s a seductive form of denial”
While that is generally true, those of us who are glad about this poll are not saying the election is over...all we are saying is that obama is not unstoppable. We have grown weary of the continual drumbeat of “Romney has no chance”. Mostly this comes from the crowd that STILL can’t believe that Palin isn’t running....(see your previous point about living in denial....).
I’d wager that no one at free republic has Romney any higher than their second to last favorite candidate of those who ran.
But to live in denial and say that he has no chance is a form of denial which is neither rational nor responsible.
Romney, with all his flaws, too many to even begin to name, has at least a 50% chance of winning...or to put it in terms that we like better, obama has at least a 50% chance of losing. And that is very important. An obama loss won’t save the republic, which is pretty well gone anyway. But it will slow the decline and those who deny that, are again, living in denial about the incredible harm that this pos has done to America.
Today is a bringer of good news to all realist-minded Americans. obama is NOT unstoppable!
“Its the economy stupid” is a good enough explanation for this poll result.
Obama is desperate to get our minds off the economic doldrums but they exist, even if gas prices have eased off a bit.
I won’t be voting for Romney but in a sense that doesn’t matter.
Obama’s base from 2008 is demoralized by the economic mess with higher food prices, gas prices and the lack of jobs hitting them worst.
Here in PA Romney is trying to turn Obama voters, particularly women, to his side. I know one woman (Obama 2008-registered D) who’s got two phone calls and two mailings aimed at her from the GOP-E Romney campaign.
Meanwhile, the Obama ad campaign is in full swing here in PA with the spots claiming the economy is coming back and Bin Laden is dead, so vote for Obama.
I guess you can say voters are not in a “gay” mood for Obama.
HOMO-BAMA. The new great nickname. Thanks!
It wasn’t their votes but rather their (gay) money that Obama was after. Well he got it. Now let’s see if he can buy anything with that dough.
And when Romney is revealed, correctly, as the father of gay marriage at the state level, it won't matter at all.

Why does Scott Rasmussen always avoid the subject of the homosexual agenda like the plague? Not one mention of Homo-bama’s pervert pandering as a factor in his disapproval rating.
Look for many Democrats to jump ship. It’s now every man or woman for themselves. And.....If Governor Scott Walker, Wisconsin, wins his recall election, the bottom will completely drop out for the Democrat Party and...Obama will lose his re-election bid in massive fashion.
Voters of Wisconsin, the fate of the USA is in your hands. For the positive growth future of our great country, your children, your grandchildren, and...their children yet to come, vote for Scott Walker in the June recall Election and defeat big labor and Obama with a landslide victory for the great governor Scott Walker.
What about all the polls showing Obama ahead among women, due to the war on women and all that?
What about all the polls showing Obama ahead among swing state voters?
What about all the polls showing Obama ahead among moderate/independent voters?
What about the media celebration of Obama coming out of the closet on homosexual marriage? Supposedly that is going to make people vote for Obama instead of “homophobic” Romney.
Satire aside, how does this latest poll square with all of these other recent polls, in which the MSM gushes over Obama and tellling us that he’s ahead among key voting groups???????
Gotta love these "I hope Romney wins without my vote" Freepers!
“We have grown weary of the continual drumbeat of Romney has no chance. Mostly this comes from the crowd that STILL cant believe that Palin isnt running...”
Ain’t that the trutgh!
No, the entire GOP-e. They are expert at it.
Just sent my donation to Friends of Scott Walker this morning.
Just sent my donation to Friends of Scott Walker this morning.
It will all turn around here come election month. There will be a few holdouts, and a few that pull the lever but say they didn’t to keep up “cred”. It already has turned quite a bit. I am ambivalent on the whole thing myself, at this point, but I will pull the right levers when the time comes. Err, push the right buttons in my case. I think it is critical to keep a Republican President pressured from the right. Sitting out or fighting against our interests isn’t the way to achieve any goals. If he no longer needs the conservative vote, then what pressure can we put on to keep him in check??
I think it is going to be one heck of an interesting and fascinating campaign season.
I do believe it all starts with Wisconsin.
I’d be happy even with Patrick.

ABO
TIME TO GET RID OF THE COMMUNIST TRASH IN THE WH
I’ve absolutely listen to Rush’s cigar smoke filled gloating mouth today, LOL!!
That would certainly get Putin's attention.
23% strongly approve out of an overall 44% who at least somewhat approve, giving Obama a 52% positive enthusiasm level.
42% strongly disapprove out of an overall 55% who at least somewhat disapprove, giving Obama a 76% negative enthusiasm level.
That is a huge gap, with only half of his fans enthusiastic but three fourths of patriotic Americans feeling strongly, and I imagine we will see the results of that gap in November.
This poll has more to do with the dismal job reports.... Obama has another bad week and I expect many more to come...
Wow. Even Mitt Romney blows him out of the water. Now we have to wait for the Dems to get scared and heat up the rhetoric ‘til the mike melts, and the rest is just a formality. But we’re still in the woods.
Yes, you know you’re in the company of politics junkies when questions and comments like yours are getting asked and made.
There are a lot of really encouraging signs this week. The WV, NC, IN, and WI primaries all had them.
Same here
My response: "Well, I would help if you had nominated an actual conservative."
RNC stooge: "So you're voting for Obama?"
Me: "No, I'm not voting in the Presidential race, but I'll vote in the down-ticket races."
RNC stooge: "Well, I wish we could get your support."
Me: "Yeah, well, I wish you in the establishment hadn't pushed so hard for Romney. His record is identical to Obama's. Bye."
Click.
“Oh, the humanity...”
Speaking of Wisconsin
50-45 Walker leads. Had more votes then when elected and more votes then the hotly contested dem primary then the two leaders combined. Republicans had no reason to come out and voted in the closed primary, but they did in great numbers.
“BUT HEY! Obamas locked up the vast homosexual vote!”
This so called error by Biden was a carefully planned act to:
1. Divert attention from the real issues like our economy and the Union going to hell under Obozo.
2. To lock in the massive 2012 donations by this very well off minority and the super wealthy Follywood maggots and pro maggots.
They didn’t gain a single vote by this diversion by Biden and Obozo.
However, it could cost them votes with black and hispanic voters, who haven’t sold their souls for 30 pieces of silver to vote for the rats.
I was for Sarah, then Cain, then Santorum, and then Newt.
Now, as sad as it may be, we have to run with what we have and that is far better than the Kenyan-Marxist who is destroying our nation...
I agree with you on:
Im sure this will go up and down till November, with many more Obama surprises thrown in.
But regarding:
But if these numbers actually reflect the opionons of the people, then they show that the people are not falling for Obamas continuous, blatantly political games.

I don’t think 7% is a huge margin, considering how much economic trouble we are in. Unfortunately, there are not enough people paying attention. Those who are paying some attention to the coming elections get their information from the Propaganda Ministry once known as the MSM, so they will vote for the candidate the Ministry tells them to elect.
Often, I fear, we on FR do not grasp the fact that most Americans are just not paying as much attention as we are and just don’t bother to become informed unless it’s the latest about Brad and Angelina or about “American Idol”.
Bingo. That was the encouraging sign in WI.
People are paying attention, don’t like what they see, and are fed up.
Not a Romney Fan...but I DO love seeing the Lyin’ King toast!
We are still in exhibition season.
The liberal talking chambers ignore Rasmussen Polls. They will wait to cheer until one of the rigged polls (AP, Rooters) comes out with numbers they like.
If elected, Romney will go back to being the anti-2nd Amendment, pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro government-run healthcare liberal that he has always been. And the GOP-e Senate and House will rubber stamp his liberal agenda. The ruling elites that control both parties are in a win-win situation.
Wisconsin Senate: #Thompson (R) 50%, #Baldwin (D) 38%...
That is good news. If Walker can win big next month I think Wis is in play in Nov. That would be big.
BUT HEY! Obamas locked up the vast homosexual vote!
only if they don’t have a hair/nail appointment election day
“Gotta love these “I hope Romney wins without my vote” Freepers!”
Yeah, I know...
Not-voting is a vote for Obama. Fools...
Jeff with the exception of Santorum, your choices were the same as mine.
We both know this country, our children and grandchildren can’t survive 4 more years of the Kenyan Marxist.
It is time to elect Mitt and to secure Congress with good men and women to hold his feet to the fire.
Only 15% believe their children will have a better life. That’s devastating news for any administration. That means even 25% of Obama’s 40% think the country is headed into the abyss if we continue down the same road.
Is it possible that they too read the writing on the wall and are just looking to cash in where they can?
Seems like the worst thing that could happen to the country right now is for Obama to give up on the election and start doing God-knows-what on his way out....not just popping off the "R" keys on all the keyboards.
Oh, I think the Rats have "contingency plans" if they think Obama won't be re-elected.
It's worse than that. They're "too principled" to vote for Romney but they don't want Obama to win either so they hope there's enough of us "less principled" folk out there to do the dirty work of pulling Romney across the finish line.
Fascist Federalites 50%, Undocumented Puerile 43%
I think the recall election in Wis next month could be huge for both parties. If Walker wins, that will be such a big blow to the Dems as they put everything on the line to defeat him. It would give a big push to Rep as it would give them the strength to push for more austerity measures using Walker as an example of electoral success.
Not yet. Too many lemmings that will still vote for him. All it takes is one Gaffe by Romney or whatever and He could pull the election out.
I am terrified of the lame duck period though.
If the libs realize Obama is going to lose, or even if the election is close, they are going to get very ugly. The dog on the roof and the bullying issues are just the tip of the iceberg.
