Wishful thinking. We have one of the worse candidates ever for the 2nd election cycle in a row. Obama wins by hook or crook in November.

Dreamer, you know you are a dreamer.
Well can you put your hands in your head, oh no!
I said dreamer, you’re nothing but a dreamer
Well can you put your hands in your head, oh no!
I said “Far out, - What a day, a year, a laugh it is!”
You know, - Well, you know you had it comin’ to you,
Now there’s not a lot I can do.

Dreamer, you stupid little dreamer;
So now you put your head in your hands, oh no!
I said “Far out, - What a day, a year, a laugh it is!”
You know, - Well, you know you had it comin’ to you,
Now there’s not a lot I can do.

It will be attempted, and again we will see deep city districts with more votes than voters.

However if government owned Chevy runs deep, loathing for Barack Obama runs deeper. The give a damn factor will run quite high this year, this time to literally say damn to Obama. Some will be so high minded that they will pick a third party, but at least even they will go vote to do it and will likely choose the less liberal of any Congressional candidates. Others, the unwashed, will still think that Mitt’s sane platform on economy and jobs is preferable to Barack Obama’s blatant mismanagement.

I believe many denizens here make the mistake of projecting their own worldviews onto larger America. Larger America is going to be caring about the economy, and this “worst candidate ever” will still look wonderful in that light next to Barack Obama. Barack Obama was never a businessman. He Who Must Not Be Mentioned was, and successfully if controversially. People will figure that he ought to know.

This is by no means a ringing endorsement in the absolute. Competition brings out the best in political races, and it’s only because Obama is so lame that the GOP has seriously countenanced Mitt Romney for the big enchilada.

A 20 point loss with Catholics means voter fraud short of armed soldiers just saying “Obama won, go home!” won't help the Faker in Chief and his Hope you can Deceive in.

Be prepared to be surprised.

What? Obama would actually govern conservatively?

Unless conservatives take down this GOPe/rino infested/any "R" goes party there will be NO SURPRISES!

That’s what I’m thinking as well. Can you imagine a debate between RINOmney and Obama? “But Gov. Romney, you did the same thing as me....you did the same thing as me.....you supported the same thing as me....” That’s all Obama has to say and nobody could prove him wrong. The GOP can kiss my a** for pushing that putz.

Historically, if incumbent Obama were going to win he’d be polling way ahead of his presumptive challenger at this point in the calendar. He isn’t, and he continues to point the gun at his shoe and pull the trigger in his desperation to look relevant. The stinking czars. The “crucify” EPA. The brag on catching OBL which should have stopped there but instead brought in a non sequitur about Mitt Romney (Mitt didn’t believe in committing funds to a global OBL manhunt — AND NEITHER DID BARACK. But the discovery of OBL was different, a gift tossed into the President’s lap.)

Face it, John McCain was bamboozled by the race card. It showed, glaringly, to the point he felt he had to say “there is nothing to fear from a President Obama.” This mistake is not being made a second time.

Wishful thinking. We have one of the worse candidates ever for the 2nd election cycle in a row. Obama wins by hook or crook in November.

And you will do everything that you can to help him, starting with your attitude.

This is the heart of a fundamental debate that is shaping up here, unless and until JR steps in and silences one side of it.

The process of a concerned citizen’s involvement with US presidential politics is a long term one. It’s not just a vote every four years. Perhaps lessons can be taken from this that will enable the production of better, tougher candidates in the future.

I agree. The author is drinking the Romney kool aid.

Obama hasn’t even started his massive spending yet.

And since Romney provides no contrast to Obama, Obama will bury him.

The campaign slogan might as well be:

“Why switch to my mini-me?”

There is a point, however, where stumping for an obvious stinker begins to make the stumpers look bad. A huge Obama campaign budget could spread long lasting egg over the Democrat face.
