An EXCLUSIVE inside look at the Republicans’ anti-Obama war room

..Political Punch

While Republican candidates battled it out in their primaries and caucuses, the Republican National Committee (RNC) was preparing for the general election battle against President Obama. Political Punch got an exclusive look inside the committee's anti-Obama attack machine, and the space they call "the war room."

"We said from the very beginning ... we were going to get this building in fighting shape for the Republican nominee, and part of that - in today's news cycle, 24/7 - is to be on things instantly," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. That means having transcripts of all President Obama's speeches at the ready, and responding immediately any time there is a gaffe by a the president, vice president, or a Democratic operative.

Attack plans are hatched daily in a morning meeting, where a team headed by RNC Communications Director Sean Spicer constantly maps and monitors every move of the president and his surrogates. In the "war room," a group of young workers are practically glued to their computer screens, waiting to catch the next Hilary Rosen moment.

"We - 24/7 - monitor print news, online news, TV, radio, Twitter, Facebook," said Spicer. We try to capture everything that's going on in real time so that we know what's happening ... and we're able to respond within seconds."

"Definitely, I can say at one time or another, everyone in this room has caught something," said Mike Danylak, Director of the War Room (and yes, that is his official title).

Check out this week's episode to watch the RNC's warriors in action.

If they want to monitor for gaffes, the ought to be watching Romney.

Is this satire? Please tell me it is.

If it isn’t satire it is sad and stupid.

Is it also true that Jeb Bush is being floated as a serious nominee for Vice President? By who, the Democrats?

Good old Rence is determined to lose this race isn’t he?

Why? Why wouldn't the RNC want the public to know that they are monitoring the 'Rats and publicizing the things 'Rats say and do that Americans don't like?

Somebody needs to do this. The MSM won't. What else should the RNC be doing?

We need to quit apologizing for opposing leftism. Be Breitbart already!

So rather than actually getting Republican talking points and anti-Obama info out to the media/blogosphere, Rince Princess is telling us about how is going to be doing this in the future. Kind of like, I’m going on a diet, starting tomorrow.

I don't understand your reply. Where in the article does it say that the RNC is not disseminating the results of their analysis?

Thanks for this thread.

_____________

When ‘None of the Above’ is the favored Nominee, then the Delegates at the National Convention in Tampa are obligated to reject the ‘winner’ and select the BEST Nominee.

The Primary Campaign thus far has shown that the politics of ‘Debt and Decline’ of Obama will not be changed with the GOP Nominee being Romney.

This Primary Campaign has shown that only the candidates without a workable plan to reduce baseline Federal spending are popular with the Primary voters.

Hence, it is incumbent upon the Republican National Committee to step in, withdraw their endorsements of Romney, and declare an open Convention in Tampa.

To do less is to insure another 4 years of voters choosing 4 more years of ‘Debt and Decline’ from Obama, or Romney.

We, as a Nation, cannot afford either one.

I’m pretty sure the Republicans aren’t calling their election headquarters: “the anti-obama attack machine”. For the life of me, I can’t understand why the national party thinks these people are going to play fair with them.

I’m afraid that Mittens gaffes will be decreasing. I know someone who briefed him on foreign affairs in the past and Mittens focused like a laser. Of course, this is because he doesn’t have a core or a real message himself.

Like they did for Sasquatch, I’ll bet “advisors”, ie the RNC will try to shut Romnuts up and carefully monitor his responses.

We can only hope his ego causes him to not listen.

The anti-Obama ads I have seen from the RNC have been excellent, using his own words against him over and over again.

I would call that a successful approach, personally.

if I’m going to tell my enemies-or as McCain would say-”my good friends across the aisle” how I’m fighting my battles against them I would tell them what I want them to think.

I would never tell them or show them what I’m really doing...even if I had to set up a “war room” and pay 20 yr olds to surf the web all day, I would.

But in another room down the hall from the “War Room” is where I would be plotting their demise...I don’t know anything about running a campaign, I’m just a housewife, but it seems pretty simple to me.

I don’t play cards at all either and maybe it’s because I have a Scorpio’s secretive streak, but whether war or what I have in my handbag-you’ll only know what I WANT you to know...and I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks this way. It’s why I don’t believe everything I read..or see.

I have to go bake some cookies now...or DO I????

;^)
