Even if that means voting for Mitt.
Your crazy. I refuse to vote for a guy who does not share my values. I have decided that I am going to vote for that Virgil Goode individual. It will help the Constitution Party gain some traction too. Newt gets my vote in Pennsylvania.
The Soviet Union didn't share our values in WW2, but out of necessity we sided with them, turned Stalin into Uncle Joe, and otherwise glossed over all our differences. Then when WW2 ended and the Cold War began, we sided with all kinds of dictators and governments for the greater good of defeating the Soviet Union. We covertly supported Saddam (who we later had to fight...twice) when it was necessary to counter Iran. We sided with nutty mujihadeen in Afghanistan who don't share our values in order to prevent the spread of communism and help bankrupt the USSR. Many Christians in places like India, Thailand, etc, have to vote for non-Christian political party's that don't share their values in order to at least make some difference. The list goes on and on and on. Alliances of convenience in politics and war is a part of life.
I have decided that I am going to vote for that Virgil Goode individual.
Your talking about the Constitution Party that supports the kind of protectionists trade policies Bernie Sanders would love, and an isolationist foreign policy that would make Ron Paul dance in glee. Sorry, the Constitution is not a serious alternative. They will get around the same .15% of the vote they got last time and make zero difference.
Ditto here. I`m not voting for a homo marriage-backing, enviro-whacko, gun-grabbing, health care system usurper like Romney.
I`ve had it with RINOs and their “you-need-to-support-me- because-the-other-guy-is-worse” routine. All the GOP gives in routine is a continual lurch leftward. Look, the GOP-e despises the Tea Party movement as little beyond a “necessary evil” that is to be tolerated at best and disdained at worst.
Tea Partiers would find the Constitution Party much more hospitable to their cause than the Jurassic Whig Party. Speaking for myself, over the years, I`ve donated to, cheered for and talked up Republican candidates.. even ones I don`t like.. because the alternative has been far worse, but I`m done with that game. As for this Presidential election, Virgil Goode gets my vote and monetary support. No, he will not be elected President, but the movement to a new conservative “house” has to begin sometime... why not now, in this low-risk environment of a sure Republican loss in November.
When Mitt celebrates his coronation in Tampa this summer, he`d better enjoy it and drink in the jubilation, because it`ll be the last political victory he will ever experience. He will not defeat Barack Obama in November...and it won`t even be close.
Now, napscoordinator, you must vote for Romney Tuesday to get practice needed to do the real thing on Nov. 6. Barbara Pierce Bush says you absolutely must do this.
