I'm backing Newt and hoping for a brokered convention, where Romney's lead in the polls will mean NOTHING. The remaining candidates plead their cases to the convention, and as we've seen, Newt SLAUGHTERS everyone in a debate. And it's more than that. I've never been a big fan of Newt's, but he's done one thing better than anyone else; he ATTACKS AND THE ATTACKS STICK. And when the opposition attacks, he blocks the shot and unloads even harder.
THAT is what it's going to take to beat Obama. Anything less, and we can kiss our country and our asses goodbye.

I can't stand Mitt, but do you folks really think that he is a true believer like Zero? Do you think Mitt wants to take America down a notch like Zero does? Do you think that Mitt hates what this country stands for?
My duty as I see it is to ensure that the least harm comes from this election and taking my ball and going home just because I don't get my way is not the answer. Fight for a conservative in the primary and in all local elections. But, in the general election, staying home and not voting is the mathematical equivalent to voting for Zero and I won't do that.
Newt has tenacity and can be properly agressive/vicious in this environment, so here’s hoping this race isn’t over and Newt still has a chance, Romney isn’t the answer.
Newt did not slaughter Al Gore in the global warming debate.
Rush Limbaugh on Romney, “BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Daniel Henninger said Mitt Romney is not naturally conservative. He’s going to have to be nudged in that direction. That’s true. It’s not a particularly unique point, but still true. Now on Sunday night Romney was here in Palm Beach for a big fundraiser. Word has leaked out about some of the things that he said to the donors. These are things that he’s not said publicly in terms of specifics on policy, and one of the things that he talked about was a tax plan. He wants to lower rates but eliminate some deductions for the rich. And I have to tell you, folks, I’m not comfortable with the Republican nominee talking about special plans for “the rich,” special plans for “Hispanics.”
Note this was a ‘BEHIND CLOSED DOORS’ fundraiser.

Newt is right on this..Algore is wrong.
Newt does not believe there is a settled scientific conclusion about whether industrial development has dramatically contributed to a warming of the atmosphere.
Through his entire career, Newt has supported pro-market, pro-entrepreneur, innovative solutions to our environmental challenges, which he believes are superior to the liberal pro-bureaucracy, pro-tax, pro-regulation approach to the environment.
Newt absolutely opposes cap and trade as well as any system of taxing carbon emissions. He testified before Congress against it in 2009 and led a grassroots effort while the Chairman of American Solutions to block its passage in the House and Senate.
Newt believes that cap and trade would kill hundreds of thousands of American jobs, cause electricity and fuel prices to skyrocket, and make America poorer. In contrast, Gingrich believes the best way to protect the environment is through markets, incentives, and entrepreneurs, who quite often are deploying innovative new technologies.
As for the question of whether industrial development has dramatically contributed to a warming of the atmosphere, Newt has noted there is no settled scientific conclusion. Many scientists believe it is the case. Others do not. But this unsettled scientific question has nothing to do with the best approach to protecting our environment, which is always markets, incentives, and entrepreneurs creating better and more efficient products and services.
Personally.. I suspect that it doesn’t matter WHO we vote for anymore.. all of the vote fraud that has been exposed and nothing done about it.. This system needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the bottom up:/
Hey FRiend, romnuts wont beat obamster. They are just praying that he gets the nominee because they will wear his arse out over romneyscare and you know it.Why cant you see that?Your head in the sand? I vote Newt all the way period because I am a conservative and I dont vote for libs of any party.
Even if that means voting for Mitt.
Your crazy. I refuse to vote for a guy who does not share my values. I have decided that I am going to vote for that Virgil Goode individual. It will help the Constitution Party gain some traction too. Newt gets my vote in Pennsylvania.
Here’s something to consider. I’m sure you consider yourself a conservative, but are you a conservative with battered womans’s syndrome?
“Conservatives/Tea Party are like women with Battered Woman Syndrome to the Establishment”
Posted on Friday, April 20, 2012 11:12:27 PM by Bigtigermike
The GOP Establishment and Elites attack, mock, sabotage, set them up and join in with the liberals in taking down conservatives and true conservative candidates but each and every time the Establishment knows that when push comes to serve — the conservatives wont leave the reservation and will support them when they come calling every time. They keep telling them that “you got nowhere to go, you aint leaving”
The conservatives like those women, keep believing that one day things are going to get better. That next time they will be truly appreciated, that next time the husband is going to rally around her, that next time they are going to be more assertive than ever before and the husband will have a new found sense of respect and will “acquiesce” to them
Conservatives fail to see their current circumstances...”
What do you think about that, Sun?
Obama as a great debater? FALSE PREMISE. He’s a bumbling, stuttering mess without a teleprompter. Romney would wipe the floor with Obama in a debate; Obama has no record to extol and Romney has plenty of fodder for the rotten president.
Ergo, Romney must attack Obama using the press and the internet...and, so far, he hasn't done so.
Newt on the other hand has beaten Obama to a bloody pulp!
Romney can’t win because he is a Mormon flip-flopper who has supported choice through paying for abortions in Romneycare. He flip-flops according to the issue, the people or organization he is talking with — in other words — he lies just like Obama lies.
If I have to, I will write in Newt’s name!
And you will be able to pat yourselves on the back saying you stuck to your principles, which led to 4 more years of Obama and the downfall of our Republic.
WOW.
I have always supported Newt. But, I have the common sense to know that if I stay home and don't vote, or do a write in, I am undoubtedly casting a vote for Barack Hussein Obama.
I thought that there was no way in hell that Obama could win in 2008, but look what has happened to us! Romney can win! The same "independents" who elected Zer0 can and will elect Romney if they want to.
I too wish that Newt could win, or Ron Paul, or Santorum..or Gary Johnson or Buddy Rohmer, hell, just about anyone but Romney.....but alas, the people who voted in the primaries have apparently chosen Romney...beats the shit out of me why, but it is what it is for the time being.
I am friggin outraged that my vote in Texas will not mean much...but I intend to vote for Newt for all the good that will do.
Nobody can tell what will happen...the election is 198 days away.
All we can do now peacefully is work to support Newt as much as possible, and if his "stragedy" fails.....
...I AIN'T GOING TO VOTE FOR OBAMA, but I am going to vote...
Just when you thought the vote fraud can't get any worse we now have a Spanish company that will count the votes overseas (SKYTL) & you are correct - nothing will be done about it. So when you get real you find that voting is a joke. Nobody is able to verify the software for inconsistencies. So when voting is a joke so isn't the whole government?
The Soviet Union didn't share our values in WW2, but out of necessity we sided with them, turned Stalin into Uncle Joe, and otherwise glossed over all our differences. Then when WW2 ended and the Cold War began, we sided with all kinds of dictators and governments for the greater good of defeating the Soviet Union. We covertly supported Saddam (who we later had to fight...twice) when it was necessary to counter Iran. We sided with nutty mujihadeen in Afghanistan who don't share our values in order to prevent the spread of communism and help bankrupt the USSR. Many Christians in places like India, Thailand, etc, have to vote for non-Christian political party's that don't share their values in order to at least make some difference. The list goes on and on and on. Alliances of convenience in politics and war is a part of life.
I have decided that I am going to vote for that Virgil Goode individual.
Your talking about the Constitution Party that supports the kind of protectionists trade policies Bernie Sanders would love, and an isolationist foreign policy that would make Ron Paul dance in glee. Sorry, the Constitution is not a serious alternative. They will get around the same .15% of the vote they got last time and make zero difference.
That is a great analogy, I like it. Problem is, I know exactly what a battered woman needs to do about her predicament, and every once in a while one of them up and does it, and everybody cheers her courage. But what exactly do we do about our analogous situation, I mean us individual conservatives?
Well said.
Is Romney a RINOlander,
Who caves-in to Debt-Decline?
Will he re-write Obamacare,
And propel us into financial hell?
Will Romney cast out REASON,
And join the Democrats lot?
Romneys past brings sparse hope to mind,
Of those that are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY,
Of those who are not blind.
When the choice is Obama or Obama White, it means that the POTUS is lost and we need to put enough Tea under the capital dome to start impeaching and keep impeaching until there’s an American in the White Hut again.
It doesn’t matter who actually wins the debates with Obama. The next day the media will shape the narrative in a way that makes Obama look good.
To answer your (rhetorical?) question, no.
“I will be voting for Newt in the NC primary on May 8, but in November, when the choice comes down to Mitt or Zero, there is no way I’m going to do anything that helps Zero have a second term. Even if that means voting for Mitt.”
That’s what I plan to do. I hope that a brokered convention is possible, but now I don’t see it happening. If Mitt is the nominee, conservatives should concentrate their passion to the down-ballot races.
Good article.. so true.. and even its isn’t totally true its marginally true..
Pitting the inventor of Romney-care against the inventor of Obama-care is a Cartoon..
Republicans like Cartoons..
Democrats are political Tots and republicans are political teenaged retards..
UNLESS; the whole voting mechanism has been tampered with.
Not only voter fraud in tens of ways but voting machine fraud..
Republicans that don’t home school are brain washing their kids..
WORSE; when they go to college.. the agitprop is thick as green snot..
You can be a Romney Republican or you can be a conservative. You can’t be both. Pick one.
Amen!
Ditto here. I`m not voting for a homo marriage-backing, enviro-whacko, gun-grabbing, health care system usurper like Romney.
I`ve had it with RINOs and their “you-need-to-support-me- because-the-other-guy-is-worse” routine. All the GOP gives in routine is a continual lurch leftward. Look, the GOP-e despises the Tea Party movement as little beyond a “necessary evil” that is to be tolerated at best and disdained at worst.
Tea Partiers would find the Constitution Party much more hospitable to their cause than the Jurassic Whig Party. Speaking for myself, over the years, I`ve donated to, cheered for and talked up Republican candidates.. even ones I don`t like.. because the alternative has been far worse, but I`m done with that game. As for this Presidential election, Virgil Goode gets my vote and monetary support. No, he will not be elected President, but the movement to a new conservative “house” has to begin sometime... why not now, in this low-risk environment of a sure Republican loss in November.
When Mitt celebrates his coronation in Tampa this summer, he`d better enjoy it and drink in the jubilation, because it`ll be the last political victory he will ever experience. He will not defeat Barack Obama in November...and it won`t even be close.
All of that is emotion based and has no bearing. Romney's record is as bad as Obama. I base my opinion on the mans record.
I have no master but my conscience and my God and I will not vote for a progressive no matter what letter is after his name.
“I`m not voting for a homo marriage-backing, enviro-whacko, gun-grabbing, health care system usurper like Romney.”
His governance in Mass. IS RELEVANT, because Romney led the politics of the left there during his whole term: Romneycare, coercion of free citizens to buy insurance or punishing them with a $2,000 fine, if they dont obey his order, pro-abortion bill, coercing the Catholics to provide abortive pills and adoptions of children for gay couples, anti-gun bill, anti-business (increased the taxes by $700 million), pro-gay marriage even when the Mass. Supreme Court declared it UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
I dont trust Romney, as he has NO conservative credentials WHATSOEVER.
He didn’t slaughter anyone in the two debates before Florida.
He agreed with Jon Cary in a Global Warming debate.
Go figger?
Excellent response and a double high five.
The only reason Obama looked good in the 2008 Presidential debate is because McCain was so terrible.
The MSM will make certain that Obama is showcased in a debate no matter who on the GOP side debates him.
Conservatives/Tea Party are like women with Battered Woman Syndrome to the Establishment
The perfect analogy.
“That is a great analogy, I like it. Problem is, I know exactly what a battered woman needs to do about her predicament, and every once in a while one of them up and does it, and everybody cheers her courage. But what exactly do we do about our analogous situation, I mean us individual conservatives?”
Unlike women, we conservatives are not creatures prone to violence when we do not get our way, therefore; since we are the workers, the producers, the creators of things of real value and worth to humanity AND to the parasites, simply stop producing anything. Take a sabbatical during these times of taxing and stealing and defrauding by the system, and things will be set aright. Don’t cooperate. Don’t produce anything for them to take a cut of, and they will back off. No violence, no problem. Except all the producers have to agree to stop supporting the ne’er-do-wells and parasites for this to work.
What do you think?
Thanks!
As for free trade I am against it, so thanks for telling everyone where the Constitution Party stands. Tariffs funded this country until the early 20th century.
As for isolationism, I may not be one but if this is our only bane of contention then the Constitution Party meets my needs 99%. I can live with that.
“I have always supported Newt.”
Then why are you trying to get others to forsake Newt for Romney? The nomination process is not over and Newt is a candidate. Why try to get others to choose Romney while there is an alternative? There may be a brokered convention and if not Newt, then not Romney either. There is no reason to accuse others of electing obama if they don’t jump on the Romney bandwagon. I know if Romney gets the nomination and loses the Conservatives and Tea Party will get the blame but the real reasons are in the article at the top of this page. There will not be a sharp distinction between obama and Romney and that would favor obama, Newt however would be as far from obama as Olive Branch, Mississippi is from Bejing, China.
Whoever it is cuz four more of Obama will end our nation and that's a natural fact.
Now, napscoordinator, you must vote for Romney Tuesday to get practice needed to do the real thing on Nov. 6. Barbara Pierce Bush says you absolutely must do this.
Wadderya, stupid?
If that's the best you've got in the way of criticism, then I will reply with an hearty "SO WHAT?"...
I mean, really... compared to what we have now, and what Romney will invariably champion...
And in considering the fact that isolationism and protectionism in and of themselves can hardly injure this country like the open scrogging we are already getting from the socialist/communist/globalist crowd that is legislating us into oblivion...
Such a concern seems miniscule in the face of the mountain of crap one would have to settle for in voting for Romney.
Your comment is the epitome of 'straining the gnat and swallowing the camel.' Or is it mere 'Republicanism', and a fear of what might be beyond the tall fences of the plantation?
According to Bob Dole. Dick Cheney, and all the Bushes save Laura thus far, we absolutely must vote for Romney. There is no alternative. People can vote Romney in the remaining primaries to get the practice needed to do it for real on Nov. 6. “The Supreme Court” will be whispered in your ears.
I agree. and a lot of us no longer bother to vote because we believe our vote will be cancelled by a fraudulent vote. Hugh Hewitts's book "If it's not Close They can't Cheat" is not good enough when the fraud gets so big it overwhems the valid votes. The candidates (except for Newt) remain silent about fraud. They are guilty too. So I won't vote.
Now that is what I call brass ones. A person who dares to question others conservative credentials, but is solidly behind the far Left policy of no free trade.
It definitely seems the door opens wider for them every voting season.. the more they do it and get away with it, the more they know they CAN do it.. and it grows exponentially X(
