If the Republican party wants my vote, they can nominate a conservative. Their choice.

I'm not sure who the "they" is here. The people are the ones doing the voting and they are nominating the guy they are nominating.

Most people voting in the Republican primary are Republicans. Some are "unenrolled" who can vote in one primary or the other and in a couple states Dems can choose a GOP ballot. So far Mr. Romney has a huge delegate lead and will probably win the nomination.

Republican in Name Only? No, he's a Republican and most people voting for him are Republicans. Conservative in Name Only might be a better nickname (CINO?). The fact is that in many elections, the preferred nominee has been someone like George HW Bush, Bob Dole, George W Bush, John McCain, and now Mitt Romney. Change the nominating process if you must. Or convince the party establishment to go for someone who is totally conservative in your opinion.

What I think is interesting is that on the other side of the aisle I don't really hear too many people saying "I think Obama isn't progressive enough. I won't vote for him, even if it means electing Romney." In 2004 there were a lot more "Democrats for Bush" than "Republicans for Kerry". I have heard the term GOP-e, GOP-establishment. You could try to get an effective real conservative to run and hopefully win. Or you could have them run third party-- and ensure a win for Obama. Can Romney beat Obama? One recent poll says yes.

Which would have been worse:
1) President McCain and Vice President Palin
OR President Obama and Vice President Biden

Which would be worse?
1) President Romney and VP (whomever)
OR 4 more years of The One and Clueless Joe.

Abstain from voting for Romney if you wish, if it helps your conscience and your integrity.

...Four More Years...

"Thanks guys!"

That's a bunch of crap. Beginning the day after McLame lost to the commie, the inside the beltway GOP elites have been pushing O'Romney because "it's his turn," "he's the only one who can beat O'Bama," "he's the only one with the campaign and financial infrastructure to take on Obama," blah, blah, blah. Although many of these GOP elitists claimed to be neutral during the primary process, the reality is that they have been working behind the scenes to not only shove Romney up our asses, but to sabotage the Tea Party and discourage real conservatives from entering the race. There's a reason why no real electable conservatives have entered the race and that's because they understand that while the the GOP elites pretend to be neutral, they have and will do everything they can to push potential competition under the bus. Instead of encouraging conservatives to run, the party elites have done everything they can to discourage real conservatives by their not-so-subtle support Romney.

I am not voting for Romney. The decision for me is easy because I live in an uber blue state that Romney will not win no matter how far left he shifts once he get the nomination. But even if I lived in a meaningful state, I don't think I could vote for this liar. I have principles and if I were to ignore those principles and vote for Romney, than I would be no better than him.

Did you sent in a large donation to Newt? If not, you are 'they' and, therefore, part of the problem.

The people are the ones doing the voting and they are nominating the guy they are nominating.

You think LIES from other candidates like mitt and santo have anything to do with that along with their scare tactics?
