And in the world of today this kind of destruction could happen to almost anyone. The charges do not even have to be real to result in your ruin. A claim, an investigation and pursuit of evidence can be enough to destroy you.
Different than the Zimmerman case but almost anyone can become a target. Basically, if you have anything you need to keep it to yourself. Anybody who exhibits conspicuous well being can become a target for someone who has less and wants to take it away.
Bonfire was never intended to be the political propaganda Mockingbird was
It was acerbic commentary quite unlike Lee’s work
But has absolutely been far more prophetic
