Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey plans to announce as early as Wednesday afternoon that she is charging neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, according to a law enforcement official close to the investigation.

The witness that saw Martin on top of Zimmerman better go into hiding. The blacks won’t rest until Zimmerman is either dead or put away for a long time. Will whites riot? hell no. IF Zimmerman walked the blacks would riot all over the US.

The HOA, I don't know, but it seems there would need to be some paper trail showing Zimmerman acting as an official agent. But since he's "self appointed" and all.....

I read that only 1st degree murder requires a grand jury in Florida.
I hope that the prosecutor is fully aware what damages an arrest will have on Zimmerman’s future employment opportunities. The publicly known facts cast substantial doubt on criminal liability in this case. A man’s livelihood and reputation will be severely damaged for political reasons.
You’re right. This is why Holder came out and indicated there would be no federal charges. It gives Holder the appearance of impartiality.
Only for first degree murder. All first degree murder charges must be based on a grand jury indictment. All other homicide charges may be brought merely on the authority of a state attorney.

Not that I have any insight into this, or anyone asked me, but.....
I think that the independent prosecutor skipped the Grand Jury because she knew that Zimmerman would get a No Bill, immediately, and that would touch off the riots. The media has worked everyone right into a froth, and CURRENTLY anything less than an immediate firing squad for this schlub will result in riots.
So, she's drawing things out. American Culture, particularly POP culture, has about a 5 minute attention span. So, she'll draw this case out until it's forgotten about. Look for the charges to quietly get dropped, or pleaded down to misdemeanor assault, or something.....then this whole thing goes away.

I understand what you're saying, but in this particular case I think you're wrong.
Cooperation with the police, to some degree and in some circumstances, might help an innocent person who has been hauled in for questioning.
An innocent person tends to want to cooperate. This can be a positive in the police evaluation of the situation. Clearly, the police evaluated George Zimmerman and decided he was being honest in his story, and let him go.
An uncooperative person OTOH can make police suspicious and more willing to charge. Sometimes police will charge an obstinately silent person just to show who's boss. This is not good, but sadly it tends to be human nature.
I have no problem with the system doing its job, but getting the lynchmob media to stick a sock in it will be another matter.
They're still showing pictures of a cute black kid instead of a 'NO LIMIT NI***' giving the one finger salute.
The MSM is drunk with power, and if someone innocent gets killed or a few neighborhoods get burned, it's just more headlines.

I believe that, unless something changes, George Zimmerman cannot get a fair trial and that he and his family will never be permitted to live in peace.
I believe that Mr. Zimmerman's attorneys and their families have been threatened, prompting their hasty departure from his defense team at the first opportunity.
Even the US government has been persuaded to join the lynch mob.
Mr. Zimmerman may be innocent or he may be guilty, but it's looking like we'll never know.
White, brown, red, and yellow-skinned Americans will take note of what is happening and vote accordingly. Funny, you'd think people who flaunt their victim-hood and whine about equality 24-7 would be especially interested in seeing that every American gets fair treatment under the law. Guess it just doesn't work that way.

So the prosecutor’s decision is immaterial.

Probably the safest thing for him. It’s a travesty of justice; however, they are playing the expectations game. The racists have been saying they just need him arrested. He gets arrested and then they are praying that this dies down and the passion is gone because they no he’s going to win (assuming he gets a fair trial but he probably won’t).
The main reason they haven't bothered is that no one in their right mind believes a word the NBPP says.

My understanding is that he contacted the prosecutor's office, but that she didn't talk with him because he didn't have representation. I'm pretty sure they don't want to risk a verdict being overturned on appeal by something like that, so it makes sense.
The other possibilities are that Corey is going to let dueling experts interpret evidence such as moisture and grass on Zimmerman's back, and give the jury a chance to pick which expert's interpretation they believe; let the jury determine whether Zimmerman acted as a 'reasonable man' in determining that deadly force was "necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself," as provided in Florida Statutes 776.012(1); and so forth.
I don't like it, but in essence, she's going to let the jury, with the help of experts, second-guess everything, including decisions made by trained law-enforcement personnel, and decisions Zimmerman made in split-seconds, in the luxury of an air-conditioned courtroom and jury room, with time to deliberate and apply their own prejudices, and without being in the all-encompassing, true-life situation that Zimmerman found himself in, for better or worse.
Why are these elite RINOS always "tough" against our own side as opposed to the Jackson's, Sharpton's, New Black Panther's, etc's sides.......hmmm?????
This prosecutor babe is a chicken liberal, that's why. Mr. Zimmerman is a fragile personality and the trial will kill him even if he's found not guilty.....or he'll be offed by someone or kill himself.

If he didn't know through indirect channels and/or subtle questions/emanations which way Corey was going to jump before he appointed her, he isn't worth a bucket of warm spit.

I thought I heard at one point there was a struggle for the gun after Martin saw it tucked under Zimmerman’s shirt, but I could be wrong. I’m just glad to not live near a major inner city.
You left out the part about ignoring criminal acts: rewards offered for the murder or kidnapping of the (presumed innocent until proven guilty) defendant (if he is charged), by a racist organization--an obvious and well publicized "Hate Crime".
Let the KKK or Stormfront (equally excrable as the NBP, imho) do something similar, and the SWAT teams would be working overtime.
