I guess we could doubt the WaPo's claimed source, "a law enforcement official close to the investigation."
The MSM's anonymous "officials close to the investigation" have been wrong before. I still remember a breathless "breaking news" report about Monica's "blue dress." I think this was from ABC News - they reported they had an "official close to the investigation" who leaked that the DNA stains on the blue dress had been found NOT to come from BJ Clinton. Of course, that report was wrong. I never heard an apology or a retraction.
But I'm afraid the WaPo's source is probably right. It would take great courage for a prosecutor to do the right thing in this case -- i.e., not prosecute an innocent man, just because a lynch mob demands it. Where do we ever see great political courage anymore?

I'd bet the MSM and the Racist groups involved will work overtime to identify the jurors, and in the event of acquittal, will go after them and their families as well. Such threats may precede the verdict. This is truly becoming an 'Odinga moment', where the mob may determine an outcome not provided for in the Constitution.

Yep, me too....am not convinced this isn't more of the media drama being played out on the stage.... better people wait and see.
Furthermore how do we know this isn't just a cover and they've already taken Zimmerman out of the country knowing well to do anything less will incite further race issues.
People can and do get lost and that with help and purpose....so this could all be a smoke screen which they know in time people will simply forget about....what we'll see next will Be "fake" spotting's of people seeing Zimmerman here and there....makes for good media engagement and sells media.

They'll be lucky if they even IMPANEL a willing jury. It could end up all black for the above reasons. That's why Mr. Zimmerman's odds with a jury may be nil to nada.
The State is going to get more than it bargained for....and WE will get to pay the million$ that the trial and various security/protections will cost the taxpayers.

The other night on Hannity they were discussing the case and Bondi sounded exactly like a host on MSNBC, saying how this “ unarmed young black man” was shot down in the street and she was going to get to the bottom of this

I said it back when this all started, he’s going to face manslaughter charges, and as much as it is disliked by some folks here, he’s likely going to lose.
End of the day, Zimmerman engaged in actions that lead to the shooting, not only did he do so, he did so after repeated advice not to. Zimmerman calls in the report, and doesn’t leave his car and try to hunt the kid down, none of this happens. Its pretty obvious, he’s got some amount of culpability to the events that happened after he decided to take matters into his own hands above and beyond calling the cops to report the situation.
He cannot claim pure victim here, no matter how much some folks want it to be.
Not only that, but because of his idiotic actions, the HOA is likely going to be sued and his neighbors taken down with him.
I’m as pro second ammendment as you can get, but your right to carry doesn’t mean you have the right to be an abject idiot, just because you are carrying. Zimmerman ensured this situation the minute he got out of his car and decided to hunt down the kid on his own.

You're following the erroneous story line as misreported by the MSM.
I don't know what "repeated advice" you're referring to. Are you talking about the dispatcher's words, "We don't need you to do that" ?
Remember Zim's reply to that? It was this: "OK."
Call the dispatcher's words "advice" if you like, but I'm not sure there is a clear, before-the-fact interpretation we can put on that phrase. Even if you choose to interpret it as an "order," Zim was under no obligation to follow it.
In any case, that is moot, because there is ZERO evidence that Zim continued to follow and to confront Martin.
In fact, the evidence shows that Zim's story that he was retreating to his vehicle, when confronted and attacked by Martin, is true.
