Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., endorsed Mitt Romney for president Wednesday night on Fox News' "Hannity," saying Romney offers "a very clear alternative" to President Obama's vision for the future of the country.
Rubio, a young, first-termer who has been discussed as a possible vice presidential candidate, criticized talk of a fight for the Republican nomination on the convention floor, a possibility that is keeping alive the campaigns of Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich.
"I think that's a recipe for delivering four more years of Barack Obama," Rubio told Fox News' Sean Hannity.
Romney has "earned this nomination," Rubio said, though he again shot down questions about whether he would accept any offers of a spot on the ticket.

Holy cr@p, Rubio!
No idea why you would ask such an irrelevant question, but here's the real question--Is he too young to realize that a few fleeting moments of media warmth may cost him a career?
Or is he really just another immature sellout? Time will tell won't it...
While I sometimes think that, Romney has consistently done the best in polls against Obama.
WHO hasn’t known this was coming since he dissed Gingrich and defended romney before the FLA primary?
Rubio was (is?) a Mormon, so what would you expect.
Rubio is (was always?) a RINO.
Rubio wants the VP spot.
Rubio will not be VP, Romney will not get the nomination, and both will be footnotes in the RINO hall of fame history.
Exactly...on to convention! .....That will be where the rubber hits the road...
Hey Joe....Just heard a pundit saying that Newt's been down twice now and gotten back up, always when everybody thinks he's done with his staff and out of money. They said not a good idea to think Newt's done.....or underestimate him....with Newt things are not always what they might appear! The word is "Watch" do not assume he's done because the media etc. are saying so.....they said so before..twice no less.......I Agree!
Hope so.
What's the difference?
I guess he’s not the Conservative that I hoped he was. Good to find out now.
Hopefully, Rep. Allen West will run for Rubio’s Senate seat if Rubio is VP pick.
PS.
Mrs. foxfield and I will be proudly voting for Newt Gingrich next Tuesday. Go Newt!
If Obamacare is thrown out (God willing), we have to support whoever the Republican is or we’re going to be fighting against a revival for four more years. I know people here (not you, from what I can tell) are saying they’ll forget the presidency and concentrate on expanding our House majority and gaining back the Senate, but this guy doesn’t even care about that. He does whatever the hell he wants. I have said since Romney first started his runs for the presidency that I would never vote for him under any circumstance, but here is the circumstance: getting this devil out of the White House and making sure Obamacare doesn’t keep rising from the dead over and over for the next four years.
I actually think all three of these guys are exceptionally poor bearers of the conservative standard, and it’s sad that this is what it came to to go against Obama, but I’m going to vote for whichever it is. If it was Kerry or Gore or Biden, giving up the presidency and dedicating ourselves to blocking would be viable. Not with this guy.
He is another republican go along. Disgusting, Marco.
Exactly. He was part of the very vocal, very visible assassination squad in Florida, doing Jeb's bidding.
Romney contributed to Rubio's campaign when he was just beginning and an unknown. willard has a way of sniffing out the young ones, think Haley.
What is funny, though, even romney endorsers take their cues from Newt. A few days ago, Newt said very straightforwardly, he was taking it to the convention, he would support Romney as soon as he had the delegates needed for the nomination, but romney had to "earn it".
that's what rubio said tonight, romney has "earned" the nomination. These people are pathetic.
On to Tampa!! Stay strong - We can do this!!
“If it was Kerry or Gore or Biden, giving up the presidency and dedicating ourselves to blocking would be viable. Not with this guy.”
You get it. Some don’t.
IBTZ
Rubio just lost some major points in my book.
How much did Romney give to his last campaign. Most of these so called endorsements were bought either directly or indirectly. Follow the money.
