Last weekend five people were killed in Chicago - among them a 7-year-old girl, who was playing outside her house - and 12 people were wounded by gunfire... Where was Obama’s stand on that?

"The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: 'help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911," he said.

Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red.

The witness only wanted to be identified as "John," and didn't not want to be shown on camera.

His statements to police were instrumental, because police backed up Zimmerman's claims, saying those screams on the 911 call are those of Zimmerman.

"When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point," John said.

Zimmerman says the shooting was self defense. According to information released on the Sanford city website, Zimmerman said he was going back to his SUV when he was attacked by the teen.

Sanford police say Zimmerman was bloody in his face and head, and the back of his shirt was wet and had grass stains, indicating a struggle took place before the shooting

Pretty cut and dry based on this. Aimmeran is innocent.

As usual the facts are slow to emerge while the rumors and suppositions of guilt advance at racehorse speed. The abandonment of the presupposition of innocence in the media and among the general mob is not good, not good at all. The rush to judgment will not serve anyone but the race baters and the disruptors.

Unless some totally new evidence turns up (which seems unlikely), I don’t see how a prosecution gets past reasonable doubt. Based on the Police investigation, they didn’t even arrest the guy which means they don’t think he committed a crime. If the police have doubts, how can you prosecute?

That's why zero and the Miami Heat are so disturbed. Martin was leading on all the cards when he got KO’d.

No it began with the guy approaching Zimmerman while on the phone then the guy jolting. Zimmerman stopped following when he was told to do so...it’s on the tape.

I would have followed him if the guy started running. I would have attempted to keep him in sight as being a Watchman for the community...and I would have stopped if the police said to, and he did.

It seems clear enough that Zimmerman precipitated the whole event no matter who struck the first blow.

Since we have to play the blame game, there is plenty to go around. Zimmerman for not maintaining surveillance from a safe distance, and Martin for deciding that he'd been dissed and attacking. Oh, and for deciding that the thug uniform was appropriate in a gated community with a neighborhood watch, in which there had nonetheless been breakins.

“Where was Obama’s stand on that?”

He doesn’t have to take a stand on it; he has those votes sown up. Maybe they wouldn’t have looked like his son if he had one./s

The last thing Obama wants is to have his name in any sentence that also contains “Chicago” or “black”; I’d think as the election nears we’ll be seeing steadily less of his cow Michele as well.

You write: It seems clear enough that Zimmerman precipitated the whole event no matter who struck the first blow.

Please remember that statement when your little girl says “daddy, there was a man outside my window staring at me” and you go outside in the dark to take a look. When something happens you precipitated it by trying to keep someone you love and care about safe. Don’t judge Zimmerman until the facts are out about what he thought he was doing for the community and what the community thought he was doing for them when he was out there.

I guess you may also think we need to take down all the “NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH” signs all over America? Lord knows what THAT is encouraging community members to do, eh???

“Zimmerman stopped following when he was told to do so...it’s on the tape.”

The only tape I’ve heard has the dispatcher telling him a 2nd time not to follow the guy. I haven’t heard a tape where Zimmerman says he isn’t following him anymore.

“Zimmerman precipitated the whole event”

by asking ‘What are you doing here?”?

by approaching someone who was trying to avoid him?

Just curious exactly what justifies a beating in your opinion.
************************************

“Trayvon said, ‘What, are you following me for?’ and the man said, ‘What are you doing here?’ Next thing I hear is somebody pushing, and somebody pushed Trayvon because the head set just fell. I called him again and he didn’t answer the phone.”

If Zimmerman is at fault for being suspicious of Trayvon and following—then Trayvon is at fault for being suspicious over Zimmerman following and confronting him?

Media personnel pursue people who are avoiding them and asks them questions every day.

Yet in their coverage of this they consider that to be grounds for a beating...

Media personnel are not picked for their intelligence LOL!

Buckwheat will do what ever it takes to keep the fires burning and the hatred flowing.

The use of Buckwheat is inappropriate. It only appears to justify the left's ranting that this is a racist website. Besides, Buckwheat was a good guy in the old Our Gang/Little Rascals comedies.

Now, Zero or Obamao, on the other hand...

I know, how they are trying to frame this in order to create drama, press and political hype is beyond disgusting.

I hate the press and the Obama machine , who are driving this, they’ve determined the mans guilt without knowing the evidence, without waiting til the investigation is complete, and further implying the police did a botched job.

Then people wonder why the good men of the police force leave. And why they hesitate to act on our behalf when we’ve been assulted or attached.

It’s beyond shameful what the press does.....and the politicians jumping to conclusions for political gain.

Sadly, I think that shows the whole of this tragedy is that Martin attacked Z instead of saying “None of your business”- or whatever- and just moving on.

I think they're trying to start a race-war.

There's no other reason to report this way.
