I live in an area where we are starting to get families escaping the violence and drugs in South Central.
Unfortunately they often bring south central with them.
This is America in the age of Obama.”
Correct.
“These are the values that these young people have today.”
True of the Urban Feral population, but not all (one hopes so, anyway).
“Get used to it. “
America has realized the threat posed by Urban Ferals. That is why Americans are better armed than in the past.
Bounties are next.
A lot of women from the "inner-city" do this. they make use of Section 8 to get out where they think there are no gangs.
Guess what? It mostly just results in her little darling inviting the gang out to visit.
A fourteen year who pumps 10 shotgun rounds into his mother doesn't deserve prison, he deserves the chair....
Didn’t you read the article? That s.o.b. Joshua went into his *stepfather’s* room. I.E. Ms. Robinson remarried. She also tried her best to raise him right. Sadly, she failed. I think that this tragedy was the result of glamorizing gangs, who are nothing but a bunch of murderous, drug-dealing scum.
This punk's life was not destroyed in an instant. It will be destroyed in slow motion, over decades of pain and suffering. This is a good thing.
I guess we should feel sorry for the punk... His mother just died, after all...
This particular case might be assigned to the age of Obama but the trend is not only in that/this age. I despise Obama but the USA has to be open and honest that such behavior has been long developing. I take the real decline of National conscience to have begun in the early 1960s when O’Leary and the drug culture started growing along with the God is dead movement in churches and seminaries. It is very sad that a Nation that came out of WWII with such united vigor lapsed into the feely-goodie fog. This subsidence of National spirit for the Nation our Founders intended was helped along by international, eg. Soros and bankers, who were bent on destroying USA exceptionalism. With unrestrained immigration, legal and illegal, the corrupters had easy marks.
Didn't you read the whole article? Mom's fiance jumped out the window as soon as the shooting started.
The execution, carried out gangland style
No, that's shot to death while asleep in bed. Gangland style. Hmmph. Sounds like how order ribs or chicken, not describe murder - St. Louis Style, Memphis Style, Cajun, extra-crispy, original recipe...
Most states require juvenile offenders to be segregated from the general population...until their 18th birthday. Since he will probably be in prison when he turns 18, they will throw him a very nice party. As you say...”but not the type he was thinking of.”
It’s too much to expect a modern news article to agree with itself, that’s for sure. Stepfather-to-be, or else past fiancee. Can’t be both.
As a juvenile, he’ll get out when he’s 21 too!
Calm down. It said his "step father" not his real father.
The mother did everything she could but where was that kid's real father? What was the dynamic of his biological parent's relationship? I think that has a lot to do with why that kid was so attracted to the gangs.
There is absolutely no way to stop this kind of madness except to return to traditional family life, the kind where REAL fathers live with and join with mothers to raise the kids they jointly called into being. The so-called “stepfather” here was actually mama’s “fiancé,” and about all he was good for here was supplying the murder weapon.
Hey it could be two seperate men.
I don't mean to speak ill of the dead but, perhaps if she had involved this young man in church and made sure that God was an integral part of his life, she might still be alive.
And, perhaps if the sperm-donor was still around, the son might have had a better role-model than gang members and street thugs.
Unfortunately, in prison, this kid will find all the violence and gangs he wants. And, when he wants his mother to visit him, visiting days are going to be VERY long and lonely for him - unless his cellmate is named "Tiny".
Not if he is waived to adult court and is convicted as an adult; he will get an adult sentence and have to serve it out.
In his case, it will be all about the waiver of juvenile court jurisdiction to adult court. The judge can waive him just on the basis of this type of crime alone, but it would greatly help if there has been some prior contact with the juvenile justice system.
After the guilty verdict, take him out behind the courthouse & shoot him. Then find the gang bangers that encouraged him & do the same.
Sick. RIP.
