What the hell is going on in Florida today? (Vanity)
January 31, 2012 | no dems

Posted on 01/31/2012 7:39:19 AM PST by no dems

Read a poll here on FR last night, Posted by another FReeper, and had a hard time sleeping. I woke up this morning with a couple of questions:

1. When 34% of the Tea Partiers polled are going for Romney, Paul or no one in FL today, what the hell is going on?

2. When many Evangelicals are voting for a Marxist Mormon today in FL, what the hell is going on?

I'm to the point that I've decided that most voters in America are stupid and this nation deserves what it will get with four more years of Barack Hussein Obama in the White House. So, let the good times roll, mama. To hell with all of them.

[ Family stability, commitment to a wife, etc. are important values to this class of voters ]

They must love Obama then.

Like we learned from the last election, qualifications don’t really matter to this generation, it’s all about presentation.

Santorum, while spot-on conservative, simply isn’t “cool.”

Newt is some old Washington curmudgeon.

Romney is a rich white guy and we all know how the rich are loved. /SAR

Paul may be old but waxes “cool” with young voters because of his free spirited live and let live mantra. Don’t confuse this with leadership.

Sadly, this is American Idol on steroids.

I hope you realized how stupid the voters can be at least dating back the Clinton elections.

I had friends and family LAUGH at me after the 2008 election! Called me a sore loser and took pity on me.

Now most of those people look to me for advice on politics because most if not all that I warned them about with Obama came to pass.

People never cease to amaze me with their wan tin and willing ignorance but they do have the capacity to learn but unfortunately it's usually too late...

I’ve told a few people that age (I’m only a bit older - 34 - but old enough to remember Reagan from my childhood pre-adolescence) that while Ron Paul was sitting in Congress voting no on everything and signing off on racist White Nationalist newsletters, Newt was building the coalition that would takeover Congress and balance the budget. Newt has DONE IT. Ron Paul HASN’T DONE A DAMN THING except vote no and look smug.

That’s the first thing people I know say is the reason they don’t like Newt.

The most amazing thing to me, is that Americans ID themselves as 40% conservative.

Yet conservatism is seemingly dead. The GOP E has managed to kill off every conservative since Reagan. They’ll never let that happen again.

How does it happen? People are stupid enough to sit back and allow propaganda to influence them. But think about China, Cuba, NKorea. When you get one version of “truth” hammered in your brain...it becomes truth.

Well, it seams we are hearing one version of “Romney is truth”.

Its a little early yet to dispair, but I'm looking forward to November for this reason - it'll finally settle an issue thats caused alot of anxiety for me over the years.

It is completely clear to everyone what Obama is now. If they re-elect him I will consider myself liberated from my long time assumption that Americans are a liberty loving people who are being fooled by the media, academia and their political leadership & are being unwittingly led into servitude. Actually they will be getting what they want & deserve.

I may not like it, but I can finally come to terms with it.

I believe the reason Mitt is winning is that the convervative vote is being split. I know many really like Rick Santorum, but he has zero chance of winning. I am really getting put out with him myself. I am beginning to believe he knows exactly what he is doing. He is angling for a V.P. spot with Romney or he is looking for cabinet post. Or he thinks the better he does this time around will position himself for the next election cycle. For me, all it does is re-enforce my opinion that he is as ego driven as the rest.

It was Newt who as speaker of the house bucked Bush 41 on tax hikes, it was Newt as speaker of the house who fought for a balanced budget and welfare reform. NEWT IS A FISCAL CONSERVATIVE. Romney is NOT ..check out what happened to the citizens of Mass as a result of Romneycare! last week Romney was trying to present himself as a moralist. FUMR! Romney spent 17 MILLION to buy Fla! we should not elect our president based on 4 states...we have 50 states

Only now?
Have you looked around and seen some of the poeple who are elected and routinely re-elected over and over? It almost always comes down to who has the best celebrity, soundbites, TV ads, and hair. America elected an Al Sharpton-style "community organizer" from Southside Chicago as President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed forces. Yeah.. Most voters are stupid.

You need to go a couple of layers deeper.

Ask; why is our candidate field so lousy this year?

Where are all the good conservative candidates? Why are they not running?
