Newt Gingrich to Appear at Tea Party Forum in Winter Park Saturday
Sunshine State News ^ | January 28, 2012 | Kenric Ward'

Posted on 01/28/2012 6:44:55 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

Newt Gingrich will attend a presidential candidate forum Saturday in Winter Park, site of a tea party rally.

The rally, one of three events by Tea Party Express today, will be held in front of Aloma Church at 1:30 p.m. The church is at 1815 State Road 436.

It is also the location for the First Awake! Presidential Candidate Forum and Q&A. So far, Gingrich is the only candidate who has committed to attend.

Amy Kremer, head of Tea Party Express, said her group's bus tour, which started in Jacksonville Saturday morning, will make its third and final stop of the day in West Palm Beach, at 1302 Parker Ave.

The bus tour continues Sunday. See itinerary here.

“This is a great opportunity to inform the American people that there is a free-market solution to get the economy on the right track and that the president’s actions have not accomplished what he has promised,” Kremer concluded

Wel, it’s said Romney brings in $50,000 a day NOT working. So he’s got boatloads of cash throw at any who might stand in his way.

To Say Romney’s a crook is understated...he is vile!

Romney has spent a ridiculous amount of money here and it is so blatant that it draws attention to his own weakness.

I have wondered if Romney will reach the point of oversaturation...the point where it begins to p!ss people off.

Rick Santorum is "tired and broke" and has gone home to Pennsylvania to "do his taxes".

Rick knows, and every Florida Santorum supporter should know that Rick has no chance of WINNING the 50 winner-take-ALL delegates Tuesday in Florida. But he will be the spoiler if his FL supporters hang on, and that throws ALL 50 delegates to the liberal ROMNEY.

Rick's advisers are guarding his campaign checkbook, trying to keep a skeleton campaign alive in case Gingrich or Romney implode in later states.
http://news.yahoo.com/tired-broke-santorum-heads-home-taxes-084655933.html

So Santorum Floridians, please take the hint and do NOT toss your 50 delegates to ROMNEY!

MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT TOWARD DELEGATES to the most viable conservative!

Newt is taking the ground game, and with Rick no longer distracting the conservatives, Newt’s numbers will climb.

From your post to God's ears ..... thanks!

This is so important because Newt is getting very good local press, the kind you don’t see on the cable nets. Conservatives are smart - they see what is going on. Newt is surging again!

A friend just told me she has a ticket to Newt’s event and it’s at 3:30 at the same location. Is it a different event?

“Last night’s Greta was very good for Newt. It gave him an opportunity to state the fact that Romney lies in the moment (i.e. at the debates) forgetting that there is a tomorrow where his lies will be exposed.

I honestly believe it was Romney’s operatives that forced Herman Cain out.”

I agree; I thought the Greta interview was excellent. I hope it was widely seen by Floridians. Also, though I think Herman Cain had his own problems, I believe you’re right about Romney’s involvement. My husband was listening to the Neal Boortz show some weeks ago. Boortz was talking to Jamie Dupree, who claimed to have a source that proved Romney was behind it.

And now Newt will not feel beholden to the establishment at all. I heard he was saddened by the actions of people he had thought were his friends. His eyes have been opened.

In truth, I would like to see Newt and Sarah work with the Tea Parties and start a new political party - The Conservative Party. I especially would like to see it happen following this Nov.’s election. I call the republican establishment liberalites They see their role as spending our money on causes they think are important without regard to what their hard working base wants.

I fear Romney will be the Republican nominee. I don’t think Romney will beat Obama because he won’t be able to handle the message when the media and the democrats attack him in the same manner he has done to Sarah, Perry, Cain, and Newt. Romney has been given a free ride so far from the media, but as soon as the nomination process is over with, then he will feel the full brunt of the MSM. It won’t be pretty.

I think the Rep. establish believes that the low enthusiastic turnout for Romney will be higher than the low enthusiastic turnout for Obama. What a god-awful election that would be. Romney can’t get his supporters to show up now, just like McCain four years ago, and Dole years ago so who will stand in the rain at a rally for him in the summer? Not I. I suspect his rallies will be giving out free food and beer just to draw a crowd.

I hope Newt follows Reagan’s path and picks up stream as the process goes forward. Heck, he has faced the storm and if he can survive there is not much else that with which to smack him down.

I am sorry that NC’s primary is not until May. I think super Tuesday will be the final opportunity for Newt. I wish Florida was not a winner take all, in fact I wish none of the states was winner take all. I like the way SC did it. It seemed to be fairer than letting he who has the most money for ads (Iowa and FL) have the most influence.

Good luck, Newt. I am hoping you take Florida because we need someone like you to force DC to change. Only Newt can make republicans do what they campaign on.

I couldn't wait! :-)

House Minority Whip Gingrich and 7th District congressional candidate Brenda Fitzgerald throw mock tea crates into the Chattahoochee River on April 15, 1994, as part of a "Taxpayer's Tea party" in Roswell, Georgia.

Great post. It used to be that candidates did not take votes for granted.

Wrote a letter to Santorum’s campaign last night BEGGING him to resign. I urge all Freepers to do the same today.

A Sunday night resignation would be most effective.

Come ON Rick - we need you!!!

If he did, HE, more than anyone else, would be in THE prime position to rally and/or shame these GOP-E’rs into getting behind Newt. It would be SO powerful.

Praying for Rick. Praying for his supporters to do the right thing — let’s live to fight this fight!!!!

TAX DAY 1994 - Politicians play with ire - Gingrich , others stage stunts touting frugality
The Atlanta Journal and The Atlanta Constitution - Saturday, April 16, 1994
Author: ALEXANDER, KATHEY, Kathey Alexander STAFF WRITER: STAFF
As procrastinators put the finishing touches on their tax returns Friday, politicians across the nation carried out carefully crafted stunts aimed at landing the votes of irate taxpayers.

In Roswell, U.S. House Minority Whip Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) touted fiscal conservatism by staging a mock tea party on the banks of the Chattahoochee River . Conservative Republicans tossed empty produce crates into the river in symbolic re-enactment of the incident in Boston 221 years ago when colonists dressed as Indians dumped tea into the harbor in rebellion against the government.

More than 200 similar rallies occurred throughout the country, including Boston, San Francisco and Detroit , as candidates used the tax filing deadline as a forum for one-upsmanship on frugality.

“Americans literally work every day for months just to pay for a government that wastes their money,” said Gingrich , who is seeking re-election from the 6th district. “On the day taxes are due, we should remind you that you have every right as a citizen to protect yourself, your family and your wallet with your vote.”

(snip)

Hey, no problem — as long as we get it out there!

Newt’s no stranger to Tea Party values ...he’s been LIVING and WORKING this issue his entire career — a lot longer than many of us have been paying attention.

Of course the guy has had to bend here and there ..that’s the nature of politics, sorry. But underneath it all ..I am rock certain that this is where his convictions lie — at least as close as we’re going to get.

Less government
No to tyranny
No to higher taxes
No to the Establishment!!!

Anybody who votes for either Rick of Ron in the Florida election is just insuring a Romney canadicy. There is zero value in either Rick or Ron in Florida. This is all or nothing election for 50 delegates up for grabs. Get a grip on this reality and vote for either Newt or Mitt. Don’t waste your vote on Rick or Ron. They have no chance of winning Florida and therefore will not benefit in winning any delegates. Thats why Rick and Ron pulled out and went home. All you hard core Rick and Paul supporters will be helping Mitt if you vote for your candidate in Florida. Help us stop Mitt in Florida and then you can go back to your guy in the succeeding elections.
