Oh,yeah. If I gave the impression I like Ron Paul, I don’t. I can’t stand him. He’s crazy.

I was just impressed that Rick Santorum made him look sane for a few minutes. Not good.

I was disappointed on the whole. I see some posters thought Newt made a great closing statement. I hope so.

Sometimes we let our preferences color the reality.

The Republican Party didn’t look good tonight.

I hope Newt wins in South Carolina.

And I still miss Perry (but I don’t have an autographed picture)

Newt - confident and comprehesive
Romney - Shaky, defensive
Santorum - Desparate
Paul - Part of me wants to like Paul, but then I come to my senses.

Excellent summation by Newt, correctly
identifying Obama as a dangerous radical.

Newt's comments, were spot-on...
Myth..oh well :/

Yet, you have no problem “overcoming” all of Gingrich's “troubling” past things......ok.

The fourth podium will have a sweater vest draped over it.

LOL. I'm afraid the argumentative teenager in the sweater vest will be there too, "come he// or high water."

Newt ripped the cccpnn at the very beginning of the debate by slapping the Left wing media down.
Go Newt! WooHoo!

I thought that Rick made the best points, and won the debate. His problem is that I think a successful national politician must be more clever and nuanced with his words. That’s what I love about Sarah Palin, and my own Senator Pat Toomey. He chooses his words with a mind toward the fact that most voters are dummies. Bob

Santorum’s plan is similar to the immigration reform plans by Gingrich and Perry, except for the part of giving a path to legal status for those here illegally. Perry calling people “heartless” over a path to legal status is the main reason he is out of office.

Newt was the only one to bring up that we have to win both houses to change the country. Great point.

Newt is so much quicker on his feet than all of them. I would love that in a President.

Terrible debate overall, why were no foreign policy questions asked? Way too much time was spent on Jerry Springer level crap.

Actually, it was Santorum who brought up Newt's involvement in 2010 and Newt was responding.

Newt supported the REPUBLICAN nominee for that district, not a 3rd party "Conservative" nominee. Don't act as if Dede was supported over another Republican.

Part of me wants to like Ron Paul!

Hah, yeah he does that.

I really think his main support comes from young people who want drugs made legal and peaceniks and isolationists.

But he does make way too much sense on occasion.

Well, all I gotta say is that I hope Newt did as well as his supporters here think he did (and I am now one of them).
