Don’t believe any of the polls at this point.

It is unclear to me how Mitt Romney can get more than 25% of the SC caucus vote. And for him, expanding that percentage will be next to impossible. His support is NOT Elastic and his opposition is entrenched.

I simply do not see how Mitt can get the nomination.

He will not carry the south. Won’t happen.

18% (Newt)+ 5% (Perry)+24% (Santorum) = 47%.

Can’t conservatives add, or is it all ego?

If two of these conservatives dropped out, Mitty would be history.

Romeny is already in SC stumping with McCain which in F.A.T. However, what is disappointing is DeMint and Haley supporting Romney.

Romney and the establishment are smart. They are taking Romney's 25% and making it look strong. Iowa spin is he did well for a Mormon in an evangelical state. In New Hampshire, the Spin will be that he sacrificed a larger victory to campaign in SC. In South Carolina, the spin will be he did well in a state that is not his base.

They are going to take his 25% to each state and wear down the opposition.

I think I will send money to both Newt and Santorum.

I find Perry's lack of support in SC surprising:

1. He has been very successfully governing one of the largest economies in the US and the world (Texas)

2. He is the only candidate with military experience and SC is full of military - active and veterans.

3. He is very conservative as are most in SC.

4. He is the only evangelical Christian in the group and SC is full of evangelical Christians.

Agreed his debating skills are lacking but good debaters do not make good presidents.

What's his problem?? - just asking!!

This is GREAT news for Santorum. He has a lot of MO now. His 24% in this poll may be higher now. I think there is a lot of Bachmann, Perry and Cain supporters on his side now. And I think it is growing every day.

No more pro-Obama socialist crap.

All we get is LIES LIES AND MORE LIES.

Don’t believe what the leftist Democrats, the mainstream media, and Barbara Bush say about Santorum.

The Leftist/Progressive/Socialist axis is trying the demonize Santorum so they can pick the Republican candidate.

Here’s my analysis: 35% Leftist voters; 35% Conservative Voters and 30% Middle of the Road Swing Voters.

Obama gets the Leftists and half of the Middle = 52%.

Romney gets 25% of the Conservatives and 18% of the Middle = 43%

Santorum gets 18% of the Middle and 35% of Conservatives = 53%

They did it to us with McCain and they want to do it to us again with Romney.

You can fool me once but if we let this happen again and Obama gets re-elected, IT’S ALL OUR FAULT! EXPLAIN THAT TO YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN.

"Vote Count Error? Did Rick Santorum Really Win the Iowa Caucuses?
DES MOINES, Iowa - Edward True, 28, of Moulton, said he helped count the votes
and jotted the results down on a piece of paper to post to his Facebook page.
He said when he checked to make sure the Republican Party of Iowa
got the count right, he said he was shocked to find they hadn’t.
“When Mitt Romney won Iowa by eight votes and I’ve got a
20-vote discrepancy here, that right there says Rick Santorum won Iowa,” True said. “Not Mitt Romney.”

"Several UNREPORTED news reports have it that Romney
did not win the Iowa Caucuses.
Barring any objective, verifiable proof that shows more than 12 votes mistakenly
being credited to Santorum, Romney lost."

People better brace themselves. Santorum is being hit hard on the gay issue. While Freepers have no problem with his positions, a lot of other people will, especially the way his positions are being conveyed.

All these polls show to me is that non-freepers and non-du-ers just see the MSM: Perry can’t talk, Newt is angry, Paul is a looney, Bauchman has migraines..It’s Romney, Romney, Romney all the time. Until Iowa they had not even heard of Santorum.
The remaining field needs to attack Romney, Romney, Romney. There has been no bad press for Romney. He needs to be provoked and picked on relentlessly. Show everyone that he is just another Obama. Romney=No Change=More of the Same and we can’t afford it!

23+18+5 = 46

Santorum + Gingrich + Perry

Conservatives are killing themselves.

Romney is winning S Carolina because conservatives are killing themselves.

South Carolina is the conservative firewall. If the firewall is breached where do you fall back to then?

Go Santorum! When the Newt and Perry supporters have to find another candidate, Rick should beat Romney handily across the south.

SC will follow McPain to endorse Romney! Even the exit of the wrong Rick Perry won’t be quite enough to put the Right Rick Santorum over the top. But Santorum has made gains that few have expected.

It's looking more and more like Santorum will be the guy to stop Rommey. I feel for all the Newt & Perry folks, but crunch time is coming. I'll tell you this--if Santorum falters and Gingrich or Perry somehow become the guy, I'm good with that. But until then...
