Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania give Obama the Finger
Westmoreland County Elections Bureau ^ | 8 November 2011 | Westmoreland County Election Bureau

Posted on 11/08/2011 8:47:59 PM PST by Vigilanteman

All but one precinct reporting now and it appears the GOP has taken control of the county commission for the first time since the Eisenhower administration.

This is a county so Democrat heavy that Walter Mondale carried it during the Reagan landslide in 1984.

But every row office now appears to have flipped to the GOP with only one race too close to call: The County Controller whose credentials were so good that even the county's GOP leaning daily newspaper endorsed the Democrat.

I think you’d have to have the political machine in Philly dismantled, but its been pretty resistant to the periodic probes over the decades.

Funny to think until 1950 it was the GOP that ran Philadelphia.

The past 2 polls hands-down shows Odumbo will not win Pa. and FL, 2 key states he has to cheat, er I mean win. The only thing the MSM has to do is show the recession has “gone” and being jobless is awesome..

Vigil, this IS a big deal. All the Frick mines that were in Westmoreland County and the rise of the UMWA this was part of the melting pot of America during the industrial revolution. Union’s have ruled for decades. I went to school down at Youngwood 34 years ago. From Indiana.

It’s time to scrub Islam from our white house.

“Are you better off after four years of Islamic Communism?”

The people have answered, unequivocally.

dont forget FUMO .... “All that for a flag ....”

Maybe if it was a Kenyan flag she would have been a bit more patriotic and proud. The two of them are a disgrace.

Westmoreland County is full of conservative people.

It’s good to see that they’re now voting conservatively.

I don’t know anything about that county, but local politics is different, at least where I am. The difference betwwen republicans and democrats at the local level is usually a choice between what developer gets the graft and public/private partnerships. On local elections, I tend to ignore party and vote for whoever is least connected to the good ole boy machine.

Yes, I’ve been reading about this as well. Much has been made about the left having a lock on Hispanic voters but apparently those Mexican Americans in your area, while aware and proud of the Mexican heritate also recognize that they are American, as it should be. Hopefully Cruz will be on the way to the USSC (via the senate).

Westmoreland Cty. was part of John Murtha’s district. Also includes Latrobe, Arnold Palmer’s hometown and the Rolling Rock brewey is located there. Losing Prop 2 in Ohio hurt, but this is indeed a good indication of things to come.

The only way Romper Room takes PA is if the republican party puts up an inexperienced weak candidate who will wind up evicerated. In fact that’s the only way Romper Room wins the election period.

You are overconfident. Obama is leading all the Republican candidates in the polls, including in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
