Chicago Woman Claims Herman Cain Wanted Her to Trade Sex for Job
ABC News viaYahoo News ^ | Nov. 7, 2011 | RANDY KREIDER

Sharon Bialek of Chicago became the first woman accusing Herman Cain of sexual harassment to go public Monday, describing an alleged incident in Washington in 1997 in which the president contender, then the president of the National Restaurant Association stuck his hand up her skirt and tried to pull her head toward his crotch. "I said, 'What are you doing?'" alleged Bialek, who said she had contacted Cain for help getting a job. "You know I have a boyfriend. This isn't what I came here for." According to Bialek, Cain answered, "You want a job, right?" Bialek claims that after the incident she rejoined her boyfriend and told him that Cain had been "sexually inappropriate." Cain campaign spokesman J.D. Gordon immediately responded with a statement that said, "All allegations of harassment against Mr. Cain are completely false. Mr. Cain has never harassed anyone."

Bialek appeared with attorney Gloria Allred at a press conference at New York's Friars Club. Two other women filed complaints of sexual harassment against Cain while he helmed the NRA, but neither has spoken publicly. According to the Associated Press, a third woman also alleges sexual harassment by Cain while working at the trade group, but said did not file an internal complaint because one of her coworkers had already done so. Bialek, described by Allred as a Republican and the single mother of a 13-year-old, said she had come forward "to give a face to those women who cannot."

The narrative will unfold something like this: she didn’t report the behavior to the authorities in 1997 because she feared for her safety or something.

Of course we all know Godfather's pizza has been known to put horses heads in people's beds. lol

It’s just about sex. Let’s move on.

That only works for white racist Democrats. Now if you're a black Republican we will need to get to the bottom of this..

This has big government and just hatred thuggish racism all over it. Sickens me a good person with a dream can't run a clean campaign without all this crap and of course thugs elect the thugs and liars. Been going on too long.

How aggravating to pull some lie up from 12 years ago to take down a man because why, he isn't their black man? He is too clean? He likes "large sausage pizzas?" Sickenning sh** I am glad I shot the TV over a month ago. Still it hasn't done much for the workld, just my BP.

Isn’t this how the KKK and/or Democrats used to deal with “arrogant” blacks in the South years ago?

Accuse a black man of doing something to/with a white woman, then they’d hang, beat, imprison, or otherwise ruin his life.

One would think we’d be past this crap by now.

Unless she has a video or an 8 x 10 glossy suitable for framing it didn’t happen.

Correction. She can’t PROVE it happened. This entire episode could be 100% factual. Or 100% false. Or 50% false. It’s all going to depend on how it is handled by Cain.

No proof means it is reduced to "She Said / He Said".

Her motives come into question just as much, or more, as the way Cain deals with the accusation.

I’m not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV...(but I did have paralegal training...)

The legal barrier to Cain SUCCESSFULLY suing this woman for slander and liable, is that we currently basically have a two tier standard—one for normal people, the other for “public figures” (mainly celebrities and politicians).

A public figure must not only prove with a preponderance of evidence that an accusation was false—which is the traditional standard to win a slander/liable case—he must also prove “malicious intent.”

Since this woman appeared to be a supporter of Cain before this—she’s the textbook example of one it would be hard to prove had malicious intentions....

Surely this is why the libs picked up on her. Most don’t know though, that the political world is FULL of such floozies—who just hang out at political functions to schmooze, meet famous people, and maybe, find a rich husband. (see listing for “ARIANNA HUFFINGTON”)

I actually knew a woman, VERY liberal, who was a volunteer on the Ollie North campaign....only, apparently because she had the hots for Ollie. He never really talked to her—but it was odd—some just like politicians, and hanging out at political such affairs, while at heart totally confused or apolitical about this issues.
