No one who isn’t highly familiar with cryptic bureaucratese would know. That is different from not understanding the concepts.

Rep. King’s questions are so wonky, they are missing the point.

I am a Cain supporter. That being said I agree with Rush in that any of the candidates @ this time would be a whole lot better than what we have in office now. I do not like all of the candidates, Romney is my least liked however I am so tired of the constant bickering and negativity that is taking place. So I understand your sentiments. I wish everyone would listen to each and take the good ideas from each and solve the mess the idiot in the white house has created.

I’m loving this ‘debate’... it’s a debate against the lib communists and Tea Party Conservatives, well represented by Cain and Gingrich.

As Newt gains in the polls, the MSM will give him the Cain treatment.

Charles, Charles, no one here wants proven results. They want their dream.

Wow...first off, they’re really two related things.

Lean is a production system pioneered by Toyota. It involves scrubbing your processes from the ground up to eliminate waste in the form of overproduction, overprocessing, transportation, etc.

It’s very involved to implement, but ultimately really empowering to shop floor people. It involved close scrutiny of processes to remove non-value added activities and a strong focus on continuous improvement.

Sorry, I know this sound very generic. It’s basically a tool kit involving things like “5S” cleanup/standardization, “Kaizen” events to map and improve processes and many other proven ways to eliminate waste.

It’s ultimate point is to focus the organization only - to the extent possible - on activities that bring value to the customer.

If you’re in a production environment, it’s well worth looking into. It’s implementation can be a real struggle...but the payoffs are enormous.

Hope this helps.

Hank

The last thing anti-Perry FReepers want to hear is Perry say ‘yeah, we’re already doing that in Texas’ to Newt and Cain’s propositions.

Newt explaining Chilean retirement model amasses capital available for economic growth. He and Cain see value in the Chilean model for different reasons.

Cain says corporate model for defined benefit accounts, where company and employee contributes, and employee chooses distribution of benefits.

It is being billed as a debate.

It's a LD debate, you get that..right?

This is an interesting contrast. I am not sure that Mr. Cain is going “blank” or if he is just yielding to Newt because Newt looks like he is anxious to answer. I think that Mr. Cain is doing a good job when he is speaking even if he is letting Newt answer first some of the time.

This is not a typical “debate”; the two really are working to augment each other. After watching this... I actually am starting to believe that a Cain/Gingrich or Gingrich/Cain ticket is a real possibility.

Why do so many Cain supporters feel they need to engage in name calling and personal attacks? Can’t you just defend your candidate and respect other opinions?

If it's nanny-state EO, instate tuition for ILLEGAL aliens, etc, you're right.

Quote of the night so far: “You go first Newt.” Cain apparantly didn’t understand what he was being asked.

I was a little puzzled by that too. However, I give both of these candidates one million percent credit and approval for doing this at all. I find them both Presidential quite frankly. I would love a Cain/Gingrich ticket. I don’t want Newt at the top....can’t get over the three marriages (mainly because how they ended).
