Thank you for compiling all that good vetting information in one place.

You might find this article interesting. I just saw it this morning.

>> doesn’t quite connect these dots for me.<<

Are you taking into consideration the increase in the tax revenue from increased growth?

As the owner of a computer store we put together our own computers. Our suppliers bought from manufacturers who had to pay taxes. They added that expense into the product they sent to wholesalers. The wholesalers had to pay taxes and they also added that expense into the price they charged me. I had to pay taxes so I added that expense into the completed computers I sold. All those taxes except the tax to the end consumer will disappear under Cain’s plan. Essentially there would be, depending on the product, a minimum of 3 levels of tax costs eliminated. That would bring down the costs to retailers substantially on many products. That in turn would increase demand increasing jobs to produce those goods increasing the tax base of consumers.

How can establishing a program that is a magnet for bringing illegals to Texas not be amnesty? How can someone be so tone deaf as not to realize that, and then call those who think it's a bad idea heartless?

Heck, let's just give it all away, and of course claim we're against amnesty at the same time.......

It's one of three reasons he continues to fall off the cliff with his polls. He's simply a horrid candidate pretending to be conservative to get the nomination. Ain't gonna happen.

>>Under Cains plan your sales tax will go up %9 and the FEDs will be on you for it.<<

NO they won’t. That tax is added at retail purchase which will be collected from retailers.

But not everyone is going to pay the national sales tax with the 999 plan.

Please see post # 237 of this thread.

Cain is giving tax exemptions to families living in low income minority neighborhoods and tax credits to low income individuals to offset any possible national sales tax they might have to pay.

So no, not EVERYONE will be paying the 9% national sales tax. Only middle class and upper class families.

Please reference post 237 for info.

If you would read the bill, you have to sign up to become legal to get the instate tuition. Wow! What a concept! You really need to read the stuff before you start to post on it. Please

CAIN: Well, let's talk about how I would address that same problem. I believe in empowerment zones. Most of the unemployed black Americans in this country are in these mostly economically depressed areas. It could be, and I'm only using this as an example, because we haven't finished establishing the parameters yet. Instead of in a designated empowerment zone, it being 9-9-9, it could be, as an example only, 3-3-3.

What this does, because you have a lot of African-Americans located in cities like Detroit, disproportionately, it would encourage businesses to stay in business there or to move there. It would encourage people to work there, because if you live in the empowerment zone, you're going to pay a smaller percentage in taxes.

Yes, Empowerment Zones, but only for some...

From what I've been reading, the empowerment zone program ended in December 2009. Is this a back door way to bring it back?

That's why it's called amnesty. Hoisted on your own petard. Congrats.

How in the world you PerryKrishnas get off claiming he's not for amnesty and post that kind of crap is beyond me.

Do you like LaRaza too?

Hey, maybe he’ll throw in a few white empowerment zones to balance it out!

Yup, ghetto tax breaks. I don’t live in a ghetto and never will.

I don’t know of a single conservative that lives in the ghetto, or any that thinks they should get any special tax breaks.

Cain’s cheerleaders count making drug dealers pay taxes as a plus for 999. I guess they didn’t know about the ghetto tax breaks?

CAIN HAS NEVER SAID HE WAS AGAINST TARP.

HE ONLY SAYS HE IS AGAINST THE WAY IT WAS IMPLEMENTED.

Guess if he had still been at the FED it would have worked really great. What an arrogant egotist.

The key to being a “darling” these days is have no political record. That means you never have to explain a vote, or an executive decision, or a policy that you forwarded. You can say magical things that have no basis in reality, filled with skittles and unicorns.

Give me a guy with conservative working experience: Perry, Gingrich, Bachmann. Let the talk show hosts stay on the radio where they belong.

Is Cain perfect? NO! But, he’s a damned sight better than Romney. Plus, I’m pragmatic enough not to allow “perfect” to be the enemy of “good enough”.

Statement from Gov. Rick Perry

Wednesday, October 01, 2008 • Press Release

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today issued the following statement:

“In a free market economy, government should not be in the business of using taxpayer dollars to bail out corporate America. Congress needs to take off its partisan gloves and work together to bring both short and long term stability to the credit markets. They need to stop blaming each other and start thinking about solutions that put the taxpayers of this country first.”

---------

The letter you speak of by Perry and the other Governor did not support Tarp. It was vague but it did not support Tarp. The Above Press Statement was issued to clarify that

---------------- I cannot find the transcript but I watched the interview:

Recently, in his interview with George Stephanopoulos, he was asked about bail outs. Perry said he was against bail outs. George asked what if they are too big to fail.

Perry if they are too big to fail then they are too big. Perry said under his presidency there would be no bailouts, not to Europe, not to Greece, not to GE etc.

Are you really that stupid that you equate Cain’s being on the board of one of the Reserve banks as the same as dictating the Federal Reserve policies? Your approach, this political season trashing recklessly any candidate you don’t endorse, is working for the democrat agenda: wittingly or unwittingly?

Business will flock to the ghetto to hire illiterate gang bangers with a 2nd grade education.
