Sorry, but it matters, n00b. People who have been consistently here for (in my case nearly 12) years, day in and day out, consistently fighting for freedom and a return to the Constitution, get greater 'props' than anyone new.

Put in your licks, like the rest of us had to.

Respect on FR is EARNED.

My hope is that more people reading this will work to defeat Romney in IA or NH or SC.

If it’s important enough to defy him next NOV, it’s important enough to defeat him this winter.

Here comes the stirring of the hornet’s nest.

Believe me, I can’t stand Rompit. I curse the corrupt machine that would consider him the best that the Republicans can run against Ø. Is it any wonder I’m not registered a Republican, but a conservative independent?

I’m just wondering what this neck of the woods is going to look like if god forbid Mittstake is on the marquis at the 2012 RNC. Painful as it may be, it’s a fact that if that’s the choice for the RepNom, it’ll either be Mitt Romney or Barack Hussein Øbama who will take that oath a year from January. Any other proposed outcome is a break from reality. So your noble and justifiably principled opposition to MR would make FreeRepublic a de facto pro-Obama website that ill-fated day Romney is seen as inevitable candidate.

My complicity in such a resolute disposition would be a tough sell to my future grandchildren when they look me in the eye and ask what I did to oust the admitted Marxist President back in 2012 whose re-election fundamentally transformed their liberties onto the ash heap of history.

Again, DAMN the Republican establishment who may propel the least conservative on the stage to the nomination. And BRAVO in your efforts to avert such a calamity during this historically critical primary. But to say there’s “no difference” between him and a full-on Marxist who is so obviously intent on the destruction of any semblance of Unity in the United States... that’s pure hyperbole and I know you’re too intelligent not to admit it.

I love this site and the last thing I would want is a political pissing match with Jim Robinson over this election. But if you are determined to use Free Republic to actively work to defeat any man who would dethrone Øbama, this is going to be an interesting—albeit lonely place.

Another poster the other day brought up the point of congress and the house. We need to ALSO be working hard to get conservatives in there - and doing it NOW. Along with your non-Romney Republican of choice for the nomination.

And don’t vote for Romney. If Romney is in, his liberal ideas, liberal judges, etc. will be more likely to pass congress/house if we have a majority R. (Hey - we’re all republicans, right?!) But the Rep. congress/house will make it tough for Obama to get his crap (including liberal judges) through.

And of course a Romney presidency just furthers the idea that only a “moderate” Republican can ever get elected.

I thought that was a good point.

What we DON'T need is a troll who accuses people of being a racist for supporting Black conservative.

Nice. Like it.

Romney will have no chance against Obama if he’s the nominee.

“I have identified some Perry supporters who I think are Romney and Paul supporters.”

I must have missed that, can you give me a name or a link please? I really don’t want to be fooled by one of these nefarious sleepers.

“They end up on Cain threads attacking Cain.”

Um...really? Because the ones I see attacking Cain can be tracked back most times directly to Perry threads, supporting him.

“I am happy Jim Robinson has written this article. He doesn’t want Romney supporters here infecting Cain or Perry threads.”

I agree with you. I hope this policy stands even after the nomination process is over.

“For seeking a clear establishment of positions?”

I think that Mr. Robinson was pretty clear.

Romney is a pro-abortion, gun grabbing advocate for gay rights that supports the global warming tripe and believes that the government should be able to force me to purchase health-care.

He is no conservative.

My sentiments exactly. I’ve told some if Romney is the nominee, I will only vote for Senate & House candidates and sit out voting for President. I cannot vote for someone who would be a worse nominee than John McLame was.

Do you think having Obama-lite is worse than having Obama?

What really needs to happen are closed primaries, Michigan being one of them. That’s a problem. Supposedly Michigan will vote for Romney ‘cause he’s a home boy.

I prefer Cain, could go with Perry, and don’t want Romney any where near the Presidency. He’s smarmy. I WILL NOT,however, refuse to vote for him at the end of the day if Romney ends up, by some nasty twist of fate, being the candidate. Will not give Obama the satisfaction of a “win.”

Exactly, with the exception of Cheney, very few VPs have had any real influence.

Cheney fan here; someone noted yesterday if Cain took Newt for VP, Newt would overtake him and be actual POTUS like Cheney did to W.

And that sounded great! Except it won’t happen. Perry’s machine includes all the R governors and THEIR machine on top of that.

I spent a few days in Cain fairytailville, I’ve adored him for years as Boortz’ sit-in.

I spent a couple years hoping for Sarah even though I knew that wasn’t going to pan out, either.

I was still warm to Cain until he snuggled up to Mittens and singularly excluded Perry.

RE: Your tagline.

Really? I know some may question his 999 plan. Some may view him as the flavor of the month.

But you despise him that much?

Just Wow.

I don’t know why people aren’t seeing this

Because people don't WANT to see it. They are just as blind as they were 3 years ago......
