No Romney. NOT ON FR!! NOT ON MY WATCH!!

Should Romney be "the one," I'll vote for the down-ticket conservatives on the ballot, but I will not vote for an abortionist, gay-rights pushing, gun-grabbing, global-warming advocating, big government healthcare mandating statist/progressive for president!! I'd rather write-in the name of the tea party conservative who best matches my beliefs. Romney is no 80 percenter. Not even close! He's the backstabbing enemy within.

Bravo Zulu Jim!

We think a lot alike, Mr. Robinson—that’s why I’ve been a Freeper for all these years!

At the moment, I am totally in Mr. Cain’s court.....

If Romney ends up being the nominee, I think we should spend our time and money turning congress to the right as a control on whichever liberal ends up in the WH.

The goal of the establishment RINO is to gain control of political power, but not to otherwise rock the boat. The boat continues taking on water and listing sharper to port every time the left takes over, but the unprincipled RINOs do absolutely nothing to right her when they get a chance.

Very well put. RINO's do nothing to advance the conservative cause. They are part the establishment who work hand-in-hand with the Democrats in a gentlemen's agreement to trade power every now and then while behind the scenes, they ensure that nothing really changes.

Many years ago, Ronald Reagan stated that he did not leave the Democratic Party - but that the Democratic party left him. I feel that I am very close to making such a statement myself, only about the Republican Party due to the RINOs that currently control it.

In fact, I predict that if Romney does somehow get the nomination, that the Tea Party conservatives will have no choice but to break from the Republicans and start our own party. Sarah Palin may have dropped a hint when she recently changed her Facebook profile from "Republican" to "Conservative."

In the meantime, I hold out hope that the Tea Party can still gain control of the Republican Party because that is our best hope to defeat Obama this coming year.

I’ve been against him since the start! Actually I’ve loathed him for years/decades.

He better not be the only candidate of choice. Someone has got to convince the Repubs that this is a bad choice.

We could do worse than Cain. Much worse. I’ll take him over Romney any day of the week.

The only way Romney gets the nomination is if the 5 much more conservative (than Romney) candidates stay in the race too long and bloody each other and divide the votes. One on one against Romney, any one of the 5 wins the nomination and following general election.

I keep getting smacked around by the go-along crowd here on FR when I say in no uncertain terms that I WILL NOT VOTE FOR ROMNEY. EVER.

They keep making noises that I'll be responsible for 4 more years of O. But I'm not buying what they are selling.

Thanks, Jim..

The RNC stinks. They’ve hated the tea paty before it was named such.

I’m NOT voting for Romney either.

That this kind of thing is even necessary illustrates how screwed up the Republican thinking still is.

Here’s an excellent link Detailing Romney’s Scorecard as a Rhino.

http://www.businessinsider.com/mitt-romney-bain-capital-wall-street-attacks-2012-campaign-republicans-2011-10

It also has some great Reagan quotes:

“We don’t intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all.” — President Ronald Reagan

“A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency or simply to swell its numbers. Don’t give up your ideals, don’t compromise, don’t turn to expediency — and don’t, for heaven’s sake, having seen the inner workings of the watch — don’t get cynical.”

“Let our banner proclaim”, Reagan said, and “if there are those who cannot subscribe to these [conservative] principles, then let them go their own way.”

I’ve been saying here time and again Romney is no conservative. Voting for him is just a proxy vote for Obama.

So those who are intent on defeating Barack Hussein Obama at all costs need to find another place to post if Mitiful gets the RepNom, is that what I’m hearing?
