I’d be really impressed if Hannity practiced sufficient restraint to not ask “are you intending to run?” or “when will you announce?”

One thing is certain. She is working a plan. Hard.

And it doesn't include any of the current candidates.

Good interview, but she looks tired or under the weather.

Caught that...agree that she looked tired.

I believe Palin’s appearance tonight shows that she’s in training - in this case, voice/speech training. As others have noted, she seemed more subdued, deliberate, serious. I believe it’s a deliberate, studied strategy because she knew (or was made aware) that her Minnesota-ish accent, her voice modulating frequently into very high pitches, her penchant (in the past) for getting so enthusiastic she’d speak too fast and over applause lines - all of these needed to be addressed if she were going to be the focal point of a bruising year-plus-long campaign.
Her communication style in the past was always a sore point, even with her most admiring supporters (including myself).
I don’t at all believe she was “sad”, but agree with the determined.

Yes, she seems much more subdued tonight, not quite so peppy. (I do like her voice much better this way)

I can’t make it out but there seems to be a mixture of sadness and anger in her face. Wonder if all that sleaze got to her?

I don’t know what it is but something is different.

After trailing Obama by more than 20 percentage points in polls all year, the new national survey, taken Sept. 13-14, found Palin trailing the president by just 5 points, 49-44 percent. The key reason: She now leads Obama among independents, a sharp turnaround…

By a margin of 49 percent to 36 percent, voters said they definitely plan to vote against Obama, according to the poll. Independents by 53 percent to 28 percent said they definitely plan to vote against him…

Obama is neck and neck with Romney, leading by 46-44. Obama had led by 5 points in August, 4 points in June, and 1 point in April. Romney now leads among independents, 44 percent to 40 percent.

Obama leads Perry by 50 percent to 41 percent. They split independents 43-43. Obama had led Perry by 19 points in August, as Perry was joining the campaign.

Yeah. Her wheels are turning. She has lots of time, both for the 2012 general election, and for the years beyond that.

I think she does an admirable job of keeping her ego in check, and FWIW, I see Bachmann as NOT having that quality. Anyway, having the ego in check is essential for making clear-headed calculations, honestly seeking and admitting current weakness (and then working on them), etc.

I think she is working on a number of things. Behind the scenes with candidates who mirror her views that she would like to see run in her stead. I think she is working on major policy positions to stake her claim as a player. Either as a candidate or king maker.

She looks driven. It came out when she promised Hannity that there were going to be some things that upset the apple cart.

After all the hell she has been through, I don’t blame her for being tired..how much more does a human being have to take..but I believe that she has God on her side and will guide her on the right path.

She is watching Michele Bachmann fading and made reference to it tonight. Michele hurt herself in the last debate and I think will need to be a non-factor if Sarah is to get in. That, I think is one issue. The other is to give Perry and Romney a chance to bloody each other a bit and possibly come in with a 2-way race open. She needs to get some specifics and show she can debate them and list some stats. All in all, I am not convinced she is going to do it, but I do love her.

Why the hell should she be one voice of ten when she can have two segments on Hannity prior to the debate. Now, they all have to meet the expectations that she set. Last time, she was on Greta's program after the debate. See a pattern here? It is brilliant the way she is playing the media. Evan her head to head against Obama is within striking distance. Independents see the light, they are not going to allow the media to fleece them again.

EAGLES UP SARAH! WOW...I hope when this is over and she becomes President, some brilliant “political” writer will document the methods she utilized. A 2 year run for President is just toooooooooooo long! It is not necessary when she can effect the policies from the outside.

I believe Palin’s appearance tonight shows that she’s in training - in this case, voice/speech training. Her voice annoys the heck our of me. I'd vote for her in a second though if she were the nominee. But really, her voice annoys me. For me that's not an issue to keep me from voting. I'm sure there are some (perhaps many) shallow enough not to vote for her because of the voice. Me, I listen to what is being said not the voice.

That being said. She's what... in her 40s? Maybe 50? I don't know her age but you cannot teach an old dog new tricks when it comes to something as natural as the voice. She may tone it down temporarily but it's not going to last. You can teach Jack Benny to walk like a man and it will last perhaps for a show or two but it wont be long before he's walking like a female again.

I say take a chance and BE YOURSELF

Her position in the polls ALWAYS gives her plausabil deniability against the assertion that she has already made up her mind and is just biding her time.

It's sounding like an E-CAT (cold fusion scam) thread in here.
