At his press conference a few minutes ago, Obama whined Boehner wouldn't return his phone call this afternoon.

Nah...no biggie. The press would have loved it if he had declined. By Monday it would be those evil Republicans not working with the President and Senate to get the job done.
As another poster said, Boehner left the Dem's on the ropes where they placed themselves. All he has to do is stay cool, attend the meeting and apply more pressure on the Whitehouse in public.

Hugh Hewitt just tweeted that we need details on what this $800B in “new revenues” are. I’m sorry but any deal that has revenue, aka, tax increases in it is a LOSER for the GOP.

Hugh Hewitt and Dan Foster at NRO tweeted that Boehner agreed to $800B in new taxes but Obama wanted $400B more. I’m sorry but Boehner is a liar if he says no new taxes but agrees to “revenue increases” via closing tax loopholes. Those ARE tax increases.If true then Obama folded when he already won the pot. Boehner would have been "Read My Lips" emasculated with that deal.
