a commentator somewhere said ,, ‘The jury watched too much CSI.’ They wanted a nice clean gotcha.
I haven’t checked stats but I bet Florida rates high on violent acts committed against children stats. With juries like this..

In otherwards, to him, Casey walks not because of evidence, but to make a statement about the death penalty.
This man should have never been picked for this jury, even as an alternate.
I wonder how many more just like him sat on this jury?
Speaking of Susan Smith she is requesting a new trial in the DROWNING deaths of her 2 sons because her stepFATHER MOLESTED her as a child. Sound familiar?
So, how many copycat murders will we see?
Imagine for a minute, just for the heck of it, that the many FReepers who you think don’t understand our legal system, DO understand it, having heard your cliche filled explanation a thousand times, and understand what you fail to understand, and that is how deeply flawed it is, how corrupt it is, to cite such cases as this, the Duke case, the O.J. case, the latest DSK case, the numerous Spitzer cases, John Edwards’ legal career, and more than any of the above, the Amirault case. Try defending the Amirault case.

When I first heard the verdict I was stunned. Now I think I am now becoming depressed over the verdict.
The media keeps saying, as do the Freepers,
“We’ll never know WHAT actually happened to Caylee !!!!”
Well, then you can’t convict anyone of murder.
You may have an idea, an opinion, some feelings, some conflicting evidence.....but it hasn’t been proven what actually happened...And on THAT basis you convict someone of capital murder???
The jury had the same question....”What really happened to Caylee? “ and they came back with “we may never know.”
I had no idea she was appealing her case..well no wonder..she will probably walk free too..poor Susan Smith, she was molested too, so she gets a get out of jail free card. She should have said that the car floated into the lake by accident and didn’t report it because she was scared
Casey will find that the verdict won’t protect her from the shunning of society.
Well what did we learn? If there is no DNA then there no case. If you bury the body in shallow grave in summer it deteriorates quickly. Lie and obfuscate. It will be so much harder to convict now. Common sense has been thrown out the window, juries are stupid.
You laid out a scenerio in 2120 where the jurors were pursued until they finally got run to ground.
I’m not at all familiar with the court system, but I can’t imagine that the court would be deaf to the jurors reqeust to be left alone.
That’s where the sheriff and the stalking laws would come into play.

My heart goes out to you, I don’t know how you could have endured that...but people do somehow. Just as Casey’s folks have.
The heatache and pain they cause to families is astounding to say the least. And as I understand there is no cure and little if anything that can be accomplished working with them.
Casey’s not at all done yet with the trail of broken lifes she’ll leave in her wake now she is loose. And this is usual for sociopaths.
Isn’t there a difference though between a psycopath and Sociopath? I think so...have to check.
Criminals everywhere will know to throw their victims into water..that way no DNA evidence can be found..for those who say “There was no DNA evidence in this case” DUH, it was because Caylee was in murky water for MONTHS..what did anyone expect to be found after months and months floating in murky water
I suppose everyone here knows about the front porch lights on tonight from 9-6 to honor the child and sad a sort of protest with the verdict
Nearly all homes in my rural burb have their lights on..I know this because I looked before trying to let some know
