You have sworn upon the altar... Hmmm. I bet you file your income tax return every April 15th.
Palin transcript:
He who warned uh the, the British that they weren’t gonna be taking away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells and, and um, by making sure that as hes riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that, uh, we were gonna be secure and we were gonna be free.
Your comment and reference:
“No where in this does he say he INTENDED to ride out and warn the British. His warning to the British was incidental given that they had captured him.”
YOUR COMMENT:
“No where in this does he say he INTENDED to ride..” WRONG...No where did Palin say or imply the “ HE INTENDED;!
YOUR COMMENT:”
“I love Sarah Palin and want her to be President but I also know my history and on this topic shes strayed from established fact.”
Unbelievable and/or wrong all counts!!!!!!!
“love Sarah” UNBELIEVABLE!;
“know my history” WRONG!;
“...shes strayed from established fact.” WRONG!
You strain, and produce a gnat. We don’t know, and that means you don’t know, if Palin even spent more than 20 seconds examining this “controversy” after the fact. The issue is basic, and thus it is ofter neglected: Our Country is falling off of a cliff.
GloriaJane - thanks so much for sharing your e-mail with us. Glad you tried to set them straight - they REALLY needed a punch in the nose. However, for your e-mails to be credible, you really need to check your grammar. Watch out for those apostrophes (say’s should be says and paddy’s should be paddies). An apostrophe usually shows possession (car’s radiator, Mr. Green’s house) or a contraction (it’s = it is, we’ve = we have, they’re = they are). Just a suggestion for future e-mails. Again, good job.
If she were ugly, the left wouldn’t hate her quite as much.
From that, it is fair to infer that Sarah believes the purpose of "The Ride" was to tell the British the Colonists were coming.
Most of them are now moving the goal post - focusing now on whether her comment about him firing muskets into the air was acccurate or not.
I’m afraid I have had enough of Palin. She just is not mentally ready. That answer was terrible. She started out wrong and should have stopped and said “ I mean the Patriots” but she kept on going trying to spin it into a correct answer.
She was great but we can and must do better.
From that, it is fair to infer that Sarah believes the purpose of "The Ride" was to tell the British the Colonists were coming.
So, it's fair to conclude from something that even isn't a complete sentence?
Oh, and Paul Revere had some notion that he might be detained by the 'Regulars'. His wife convinced him NOT to take his pistol along, so that if he were stopped, he couldn't be held by the British for being armed against them.
Hah! Great note!! Let us know if you hear anything back from them. I, for one, wouldn’t be holding my breath waiting for a reply!
she made reference to Paul Revere, and noted that, in addition to the (historically inaccurate), ‘the British are coming’ ride of infamy, Revere intentionally fed propaganda to the British (with a gun to his head) so convincingly that it skared the beetlejuice out of the Brits
You are PRESUMING that she meant Revere intended...no one else is presuming that is what she meant. She was right on, indeed what you may not reckon as well is that she did this on purpose as a sort of “trap” for the media. She is a brilliant strategist and not one to mess with. You watch in future months. I loved where she made up a word that she was taken to task for but then won an award for it from linguists. This lady doesn’t make too many mistakes.
The left has a problem with having weak leaders, partly because they are not truly vetted by the media and they are not continually tested. Our leaders are tough, smart and much better prepared to deal with the world. Governor Palin is one of the best.
I do, are you one of those who decide for others what is proper action and improper action? Do I have to limit myself to your intellect??? ;)
Do you have a link for that? That might be useful.
Thanks for seeing what I saw, too. It’s nice to know I’m not the only person who thinks intellectual honesty is a conservative value.
Semper Fi!
I searched for the full transcript but I could not find more of the transcript than I quoted.
Thanks, do you have a internet address for ABC Radio quote, if not, I will search more with the clues you have given me.
