Obama loses women’s support

Female voters have turned their backs on President Obama in droves, a development that Democrats vow to reverse as Mr. Obama gears up his re-election campaign.

In 2008, women helped deliver the presidency to Mr. Obama, voting for the Democrat 56 percent to 43 percent over Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican. Men split their votes between the two candidates almost evenly.

Black and white women turned out to vote in substantially higher numbers than their male counterparts, also boosting Mr. Obama’s victory margin.

There was a startling turnaround two years later. Mr. Obama wasn’t on the 2010 midterm ballot, but his agenda was. Female voters defected from the Democratic Party in historic numbers. Postelection surveys found female voters preferred Republican congressional candidates over Democrats, 49 percent to 48 percent - the first time in at least 30 years that Republican candidates received a majority of women’s votes.

“The explanation for that is really economic,” said Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, new chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee. “Women make so many of the economic decisions in households. And so the struggle economically is really borne by women, especially women who are heads of their own households.”

Some Democrats say a midterm shellacking is typical for the incumbent president's party and note that Mr. Obama also lost ground with other key voting groups, including seniors and independents.

But Republicans say the reason for the defections go beyond the recession and that women in particular are reacting to Mr. Obama’s overall agenda.

“I don’t know how she [Ms. Wasserman Schultz] keeps up with everything,” Mr. Obama said at a fundraiser in Washington. “But as [wife] Michelle [Obama] said, ‘If you want something done, put a woman in charge.’ “

BS. As long as Barry supports and defends the wholesale slaughter of innocent, unborn babies Barry will have the support of women.

Silly women (and many others) were duped into voting for the usurping mulatto bastard.

Now that it's in, and it has shown to be capable of providing for the providers, the providers are flocked and ensconced to the child king.

Silly fainting women need no longer apply.

You've done the bidding of your muslim husband

Women are also married to and have men in their lives that they love. And many women have watched as those men have been systematically destroyed by progressive policies.

This is the “mom” vote.

I lay awake at night, as so many of you do, worrying about the taxes my kid is going to pay, the debt he will inherit.

I didn’t go without, clip coupons, wait for sales, and say “NO” to things the kid wanted only for some flippin’ politician to sabotage his future.

I wonder if he’ll ever be able to get married, own a home, and start a family of his own? What kind of future is that going to be...he works until he’s 75 and drops dead, all by himself? WTF

Mama Grizzly indeed.

If Palin runs, and gender becomes an issue, then Obama will have to run with a female VP. I would suggest JOY BEHAR.

They will if they don’t believe the scare tactics of the left or their media propagandists.

I honestly don’t hold a lot of hope in that though considering what voters did to this country in ‘08.

I do know that I, personally, am done with the GOP establishment and if Romney or another like him is crammed down our throats in ‘12 I’ll sit out my first presidential election ever.

Hey, Sgt. Schultz, could it also be that those “finger-in-the-wind” women are also ruled by their emotions and that they were “swept away” with the 2008 campaign and all the warm-fuzzies that the DNC and the State-Run media pushed out there?

Google some of this idiot’s quotes. She makes all the Republicans that the State-Run Media ridicules as being stupid look like geniuses.

I think Palin is terrific! I would love to see the Republicans select her and then pull the same "guilt" trip on the public that Obama used so successfully.....if you don't vote for the first woman president, you're anti-female. Yep, play the "gender card"....Hehe, turnabout is fair play.

But it won't be necessary. She is so strong, none will even get close. As her steam-roller gets going, watch for the announcements as her opponents gradually withdraw from the looming juggernaut.

Palin/West.....UNSTOPPABLE!

I know what you mean.

But many of the women who voted for him (especially the stupid young voters) didn’t look past today when they flipped that lever. They voted based upon emotion. Pure and simple. Now the reality of the economic situation is looming over everyone’s head and they’re having trouble getting stimulated from the emotional porn the State-Run Media continues to try to propagandize with.

Now that Oprah’s gone, the queen of emotional porn and a hardcore racist and leftist, they’ll need to find a replacement for her. Fast.

I feel the same way as a retired person, I didn't bust my hump all my working life so I could set my air conditioner on 80 degrees and do without the niceties in my dotage, to pay for welfare for others to live the good life on my money.

Here in Illinois our legislature has recently voted for and the rat governor signed into law, in state tuition grants for criminal Mexicans, denied 2 ond. amendment rights for our citizens and okayed queers status with civil unions..

GB58 - moving to Missouri, let the liberal rats have this cess pool of a state.

Young single women. Mothers? When they realize the government isn't able to provide with handouts, and that's a reality which may hit them between now and Nov 2012, they'll go where they feel safety and sanity exists. The gravy train is drying up.

What's Obama's case going to be? Raise taxes on job creators? More borrowing? Is he going to scold businesses into hiring and investing from behind his teleprompter?

If the economy is more of the same this time next year, all they'll have is scaremongering and the race card.
