Well, doesn’t everybody know that the smartest people in the world are teenagers??? (sarcasm)

You can always depend on teenagers, and also college students for that matter, to tell us everything that is wrong with society. (more sarcasm)

And, we can depend on these young people to tell us the liberal causes of the day, and the ultimate liberal solutions to all of these problems. (more sarcasm)

We can even depend on them to raise our consciousness about how we have benefitted from the racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, etc. culture we live in, and how we should feel guilty about all of the times when America has not lived up to our highest ideals.

Nobody can raise the consciousness like teenagers. And the children shall lead. ( final sarcasm )

I don’t think the expression, “The South shall rise again” was referring to south of the US border.

Easy to remedy—FLUNK every last damn one of the little bastards for the semester... That should give them a good dose of reality... whiny ignorant pr*cks!

More know-nothing students and teachers, have we reached the saturation point yet? Meanwhile the kids that stay in class doing what they’re supposed to do gain nothing. The shiftless and lazy are rewarded while the others are ignored. Typical socialists.

I know it’s to the choir, but this issue is SO easy to teach about. It can be done in a game situation like RISK, Monopoly, Life, etc.

Put these students in charge of a fictitional real life scenario where they are making the governmental decisions based on tax input / outputs. And, they see that “their” decisions impact themselves and their constituents.

See where this item stacks up against all the others they are “lectured” about.

I can go on, but hopefully you get the pitcher.

No doubt put up to it by their so-called teachers, the immature and ignorent idiots should be barred from ever attending public school again.

Instead, they will be rewarded for their delinquency with As for community service.

flunking them is too harsh

I think that banning them from attending the class they walked out of for the remainder of the week would be an appropriate response and message

I’d let them graduate, but I’d withhold their final grades until they performed a make-up day oh, say, cleaning the classroom they disrupted - including windows.

A school principal at a school in Texas I taught at asked several students, who did a similar walkout, why they were walking out. None of the students had a clue. One of the students did respond “that Mexican stuff, you know”. The principal sent all the students, upon their return, to after school suspension until they could write a coherent paper on what the protest and walkout was about. Some had very long suspensions.

I would cut their budget by 50% and show them a video of this unAmerican activity and link it directly to their budget cuts... or just close the school down and ship the 50 students to zetaland as slaves for the drug lords. If they love illegal mexicans so much... let them be owned by some really illegal mexicans.

My wife is a high school teacher, and I listen to her tales of mischief and insubordination on a daily basis. Thank God the summer break is finally here! I would still flunk the class, just because I have a good idea what prizes these spiteful self-absorbed pukes must be. To quote Hank Williams Jr. — it’s time they got an “attitude adjustment.”

I could never be a teacher, as I would likely end my career by taking one of these spoiled brats to the woodshed for some “special education” on the proper application of a 2x4.

But, if I were to have the option of giving them a work detail, then it would be to clean all the crappers in the school — with toothbrushes.

The South lost more than a war. They lost their means of growing cotton and tobacco when the slaves were set free and left them. The illegal immigrants would fill that need so much less expensive than most Americans would work for. That is what I referred when I said the South would rise again. Huckabee was for illegal immigrants when he was governor of Arkansas for the same reason.

The principal of my childhood grade school had a paddle prominently displayed in his office, and it was used legally, too. The worst thing any kid did in my school was chew gum in class (for the most pat). Even the naughtiest child would never dream of sassing the teacher in those days. And if they did, the parents would punish the kid even after the principal did!

But then Dr. Spock did more to ruin kids than anyone during the l950’s! Public schools got into the act about that time, too. From the l960’s the public schools
have taught that there is no right or no wrong, and that it is okay to do whatever ever “feels good “(values clarification, and situational ethics!) Today sex ed. has replaced American history, abject mediocrity is encouraged while proven ways to learning are discarded.

On the other hand, many parents have been too busy in the work place to be parents. Divorce has taken it’s toll on parenting. Vows, like laws to some people, are meant to be broken, and the children suffer when they go home to an empty house.

The Bible says spare the rod and spoil the child, and the Bible is and always will be our best guide to a good life. Take God out of the schools, the home and the public sector and what you get is chaos, as you and your wife, and so many others, are experiencing today. There are,IMHO, nothing more important than the Ten Commandments.

What a bunch of ingrates! All they've done is take advantage of the American people. We need to start pushing hard to end birthright citizenship. Make it retroactive.

That’s what’s so funny (not in a humors but ironic way). The kids really are clueless. They are being manipulated. This is simply about fun, a day off, fitting in and being cool. That’s it. Most of the kids are probably not particularly political. They are just going along with the crowd.
