Someone mentioned last night that July 26th is the official end of the period in which she's still legally answerable for any frivolous ethics lawsuits which might still arise from her time as AK governor. It makes sense to me that she would stay out at least until that important date has passed. Why would that matter? The lawsuits wouldn't keep her from running and her announcing wouldn't make them file lawsuits. The lawsuit have to relate to events that happened during her tenure.

Understand your concern, but Palin can raise 10 million in a single day, the day she announces. Those who already like her will send money immediately, those who now finally fear Obama will jump on the bandwagon.

With all due respect, you're failing to fully appreciate the magnitude of negative distractions that more of these frivolous lawsuits would create for Sarah's campaign.

Even if a new round of lawsuits were entirely without merit, just the fact that they were filed, would be grist for the mill of the state-run media, who would play them up for all they're worth. They would force Palin to answer the charges publicly, right at a time when she needed to stay on message, and move forward in her campaign.

Besides that, there's really no compelling need for her to rush to declare her intentions now. In fact, it's better that she hasn't been a factor in the circus that's been playing out among the Republicans lately.

Yes, I know she was at the wedding. If you watched the Hannity show, the Fox Business show and Greta you noticed she had on the same outfit. She taped those shows. On Hannity she made the statement she was in California. Bristol has moved there so she probably was there because of that.
