How To Help Destroy Teachers' Unions (Vanity)
My Fertile Brain ^ | 03/13/2010 | Uncle Miltie

Here's one way to help destroy Teachers' Unions:

1) Start a YouTube Channel: "Worst Teacher in America."

2) Let kids post surreptitious videos of their teacher's horrible skills.

3) Let people vote on "Worst Teacher."

4) Track "Worst Teacher" listings by State, District, and School.

5) After a year of postings and voting, award the "Worst Teacher in America" a full retirement from the Rose and Milton Friedman Foundation if they agree to never enter a school again.

Maybe we can shame bad teachers out of the profession.

I've pinged Breitbart, since those guys have done well with ACORN, Planned Parenthood, etc. I'll ping the Friedman Foundation next.

Is anyone else out there technically competent to get this ball rolling, even without the retirement plan? We could have a cabal of FReepers manage the YouTube channel.

What say you, brothers and sisters? Can we do some damage?

I like it. Include college profs too as many are illiterate with joke degrees.

I think that would work. I also think it would cut down on the biggest problem, the political indoctrination. I can imagine how bad it has gotten out there. College was bad enough.

You have been reading my mind today....my twist was a LITTLE different, but I really think this is a great idea.
We just watched WFS last night...all I can think of is the Teacher’s unions are legalized child abuse...in many instances.

Destruction is a strong focus.

Reform is more sensible.

In my opinion.

I like the idea but something I’ve learned in my years is that you cannot shame the shameless.

Some people just don’t care.

I heard a news report that Florida was considering cancelling Ph ED because it was to expensive.

It just drew my attention that NEA costly projects is more important then the needs of the students!

I don’t know that you need technical knowledge to start and maintain a youtube account.

The question is, how to get the word out that you are collecting such things?

My buddy started his own technical youtube channel months ago. Lots of hard work. You really need to keep watch over the comments especially WHEN it gets out of hand, but the trade off is it is added revenue with Adsense and affiliate marketing.

Someone was pushing a similar idea a number of years ago.

Lobby for vouchers —get the schools out of the hands of the government.

Run for school board! Get Tea Party people elected and get them to put the brakes on rampant control of the classroom.
1. Ban one sided political diatribes.
2. Ban anti-American talk-—Loyalty oaths!
3. Put Flags back in each class room—USA Flags.
4. Put back the pledge to the flag.
5. Put back singing the patriotic songs of our forefathers.
6. Teach real history not left wing propaganda.
7. Don’t pass kids who have not learned.
8. Teach real life skills rather than theory—like how to balance a check book and apply for a job yes, and pay taxes.

Perhaps we teachers could do the same.

1. Create a worst student/parent award. Lowest test score, lowest attendance, lowest amount of homework returned, and highest # of swear words thrown at a teacher.

2. Worst Private Contractor. We could highlight the companies that are supposed to do out side contract work for the district and screw it up. (Like my heat ALL YEAR)

3. Worst administrator. Find the principle that hasn’t returned referral sheets, or dealt bulling or harassment complaints. I like the ones that want you to fill out their paper work. Bonus points for “handling” the situation with no one getting into trouble. (Except me that is)

4. Worst curriculum director. Hasn’t gotten you the approved books for three weeks, and still doesn’t know when they are coming in.

5. Worst IT member. 180 days, you outsourced jack wagons can’t keep us running 180 days.

6. Student arrested achievement award. Determined by the number of fights, (x2) for staff hits.

7. The porn awards going to the student with the highest amount of sexting in a month. Triple points if caught hooking up in school.

8. A special mention for parents that have two or more students achieve one of these awards. (Must have different fathers).

Last but not least a special award to all the lazy armchair QB’s thinking they could do a better job. Step on up and do better.

Destruction might well be appropriate in many cases. Screw “sensible”-! Looked like that was ‘out the window’ in Wisconsin anyway-!!

Why does the idea of videos of the worst people in your profession threaten you?

Wouldn’t you prefer to be rid of them, if you’re competent?

I know I would.

I say have three sites and three different awards:

One for elementary schools
One for high schools
One for colleges and universites

Should make for great entertainment since we won’t Have Two and a Half Men to watch apart from re-runs
