Exactly what you do not want to say. This is the second time Huckabee has done this. He tells Stepanopoulos "I think all this talk that, oh, he's a one-term president people tend to forget that only one time since 1868 has an incumbent president been taken out who ran for reelection, and that was when Jimmy Carter ran in 1980...you don't beat presidents easily"

Just one more reason to dismiss Huckafool out of hand.
What about 1992?
It appears that Huckabee is too honest to be a politician...
We’re less than a year from the campaign, and I see no serious contender for our side. Every candidate possible has serious, political... flaws.
If the GOP continue to “we need to get the Hispanic vote” (illegal alien amnesty)...”not make Obama’s eligibility an issue”....and run a Liberal RINO....they will not beat Obama
Obama-Lite will not beat Obama....and I see the GOP doing the same things like they did in 2006 and 2008
What fool writes this crap, never head of George bush
Right, that's exactly what I think his problem is. And yes, the sarcasm is dripping here.
I never would have used honest and Huckabee in the same sentence.
He’s a smarmy phony.
Hugh Series BINGO!
If Huck is the GOP candidate, the Kenyan just as well start shopping now for a new AirForce 1 to replace the one he’s wearing out.
taken out? Huckabee using some rather violent/inciteful terminology there. Imagine if Palin talked about taking out Obama.
In any event, Huckabee is wrong, as usual.
There was 1992 as you pointed out. Carter lost in 1980. Ford lost in 1976. LBJ didn’t run in 68 but he would have lost if he did. Same with Truman in 52. Hoover lost in 32. Taft lost in 1912. Harrison lost in 1892. Cleveland lost in 1888.
So it’s happened 7 times since 1868. Not a lot, but a fair amount.
Also, we haven’t had 3 straight two term Presidents since Monroe won in 1820. So that’s a pretty strong trend.
Something’s gotta give. It’ll come down to the economy. If unemployment remains high and inflation continues to grow, Obama is in big trouble.
I think Hillary will take him out a year before the election. I only give him 10 months in office.
Well, it might help if we nominate somebody who didn’t get people killed.
I disagree. I think you play the game of expectations...make it seem like 0 is unbeatable and his peeps will stay home drinking malt liquor.

to huckersterbee, theres a good chance that obama wont be the candidate....then again if the GOP chooses you or romney then they just may.
It’s probably not wise to express a lot of bravado about Obama. - He’s overseen the sinking of this country’s economy in a chasm of debt, forcing the newly elected Republicans to have to make huge cuts that cause large demonstrations (Wisconsin) by those sucking at the government tit. He has successfully pitted its citizens against each other; and I think the end game is akin to the mess his cousin, Raila Odinga, enjoyed after his defeat. I cannot fathom the people of this country re-electing this question mark; but if it takes fomented violence to keep him in, I think it’s violence we’ll get. He appears to want to be a dictator for life, and it seems some (like James Carville) want him to be. - Fomenting violence can result in him suspending that pesky Constitution. - These guys seem to be interested in doing the same thing worldwide.
