The House voted to defund President Obama's health care overhaul on Friday during a sustained burst of floor activity on amendments to a temporary spending bill that would keep the government lights on but impose deep cuts on domestic programs.

Among the other actions the House took was to reject a controversial plan to end the Pentagon's sponsorship of a NASCAR team and to vote for a ban on federal aid to Planned Parenthood.

The proposals were among more than 120 amendments remaining for the House to vote on as Republican leaders wind down a week of frenzied action on the spending bill.

Does this merely cut the discretionary funding, which is a piddly amount, or does it cut the mandated hundred billion a year Pelosi-decreed Obamacare spending?

It may be a small amount but I believe the funding is for setting up the implementation, rules and regs for health entities. Stopping that is important. I work for a Health Insurer and not having to deal with that overhead now is important.

They agreed to leave NASCAR alone, but frankly I wasn’t aware of a “Pentagon” team. I wouldn’t weep too much to see that go — there are some rivalries that just aren’t seemly.

Meanwhile, HHS is seeking new office space- 1.5 MILLION sq ft for Obamacare workers.

Seems Barry doesn’t believe in laws after all, despite his being a ‘law professor’ in his past.

I so want to see this POS pulled down & tarred & feathered.

Oh yes, he taught Constitutional Law. Here is an actual test question from one of his law course exams:

“Law week, two men, Richard and Michael, walked into you office and asked for your help.

You learn that they are a monogamous, gay couple who have been living
together for the past ten years. Both men are successful architects, and after devoting the past decade on their respective careers, they have now decided that they want to marry and raise children together.”

Further in the article (from which that question is cited) we learn that Lecturer Obama was obsessed with homosexuals and their practices that other people find “distasteful” and “disturbing”.

But he was a brilliant teacher of Constitutional Law. /s

Just needs to go before the senate and voila!

Unless the Dems can afford to lose a majority of the 23 seats coming up next year.

,,,,The House voted to defund..obama’s health care [takeover] on Friday....

...and Planned Parenthood, too!!!!....

YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Abortion, euthanasia, and homosexuality/transgenderism are key planks in the “progressive” agenda. I’m against ALL of them, along with government health care rationing and invasion of our medical privacy.

Thanks. I took the liberty of rewriting the question:

“Last week a man named Larry walked into your office and asked for your help.

You learn he is a dealer/male prostitute who has had experiences with a state senator with higher aspirations. Larry is concerned about his well being should the facts come out. Do you:

1) shoot him on the spot, and then call the senator to collect your reward,

2) advise him to keep his mouth shut or he will wind up in jail, or

3) being curious, ask him for all the prurient details, and then plant cocaine on him and call the police.
