Stop by and give them your regards as well as mine. I’m in Rochelle, but have a Kiwanis banquet starting at 5 pm. I’ll be giving the number out to all my conservative Kiwanis buddies and their wives. There’ll be over 90 of us there tonight...

Let's see...

The teachers and bureaucrats are burning up sick time on the public nickel. Every night these fat and happy thugs will wave their communist placards on TV in front of the unemployed with property taxes due. The longer Republicans wait, the more pissed at these obnoxious, highly visible, too-much-time-on-their-hands and only-too-happy-not-to-work public employees the taxpaying public will get, and the less cash the teachers will have to sustain a real stand-off. Heating bills and house payments are due anyway.

Meanwhile, the government shuts down while revenues accrue. The people thrown out of work will be mostly hourly, including contract workers.

What's not to like?

That’s a good one.

And forming a trade union is not the same as the constitutional right to peacefully assemble or anything else in the first amendment.

What an idiot.

Yes, I think they flew the coop. I just called and they said there was no record of them staying there tonight. So I asked if that they had changed their minds, and that it has been reported that they are there, and that the Clocktower has received many calls, and she said: I have no comment on that.

Someone’s flooding the place with calls. Others here have said they couldn’t get through. Now someone else said they may have left. If so, good for us...

The Democrats have pulled this in Texas a couple of times. The first time was years back:

http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,946253-1,00.html

I was a kid back then and used to go over to one of the State Senators houses. I knew his daughter. Very well but that is another story. He and his Democrat buddies where the biggest bunch of crazy drunks I have ever known. A bunch of party animals. I used to listen to them after they were all blasted talking about how they were going to make a bunch of money doing this or that. They could care less about anything other than their wallets.

Thanks for that post.
I’m currently arguing with someone on another site who told me that the vote to redraw congressional districts was eventually ruled unconstitutional.

You wouldn’t happen to have a government/court/news link I could use, would ya?

Turn the other cheek and get laid flat on your ass.

You concede you die.

unless they are on official business, wouldn’t this be akin to abandoning their post?

if they got paid, and accepted the money, and were not doing state work... wouldn’t that be fraud?

While they can hide out in another state how are they going to get home?

Establish police check points at every road leading back into Wisconsin with wanted posters for each Dimocratic State Senator. When they attempt to return arrest them for fraud - they are still collecting a salary and allowances aren't they? Taken to the nearest state correctional facility and check them in.

If there aren't enough police officers available I am fairly certain the you could deputize enough TEA party members to man the inspection points.

Well, the bonehead is trying to get me to comment on the legislation. I haven’t said a word about it -only the democrats’ running away from their sworn jobs.
