Pentagon: Training on 'don't ask, don't tell' starts in Feb. for troops, commanders
Washington Post ^ | 28 January 2011 | Ed O'keefe

Using lectures, videos and PowerPoint slides, the Pentagon plans to start training commanders, chaplains and troops next month on how to adjust to a military that will allow gays and lesbians to serve openly in uniform, a critical step in ending the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, officials said Friday.

The new guidelines come as President Obama and Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates vowed this week to lift the ban this year, a promise in line with the expectations of gay rights groups who are seeking a swift end to the policy.

Each of the military services will be responsible for the specifics of training, which will occur in three phases. Military chaplains, lawyers and civilian personnel will go first, followed by commanding officers and the rank-and-file. The services will focus on training troops before they deploy, but some training may take place on the battlefront, officials said.

I wonder if I can avoid this “training” until I retire in a bit over two years.

When I was a lowly GS-5 with a new wife and job, I had to attend a race relations class. This was at Lackland AFB. It was indoctrination pure and simple, really quite insulting to Whites.

After a few minutes a Colonel who was also a Dr. got up and announced he wasn’t going to listen “to any more of this garbage”. I really wanted to do the same thing but had to think of my job.

I suspect this will be even worse.

No need to have women barracks now either. So, what happens now if one of these azzclowns starts to give the eye to a straight and gets his ass beat for doing it? I take it the hetero-sexual will be brought up on charges?

Precisely. It's a calculated measure to damage the efficiency and effectivity of our armed forces. Time spent in sensitivity training and dispute management is time stolen from real training in the ways and means of warfare. This stupidity will cost dearly in many ways.

This violates our Constitution based on Natural Law and God’s Laws. Laws that violate the fundamental principles of this country are illegal and unconstitutional on many levels. Hopefully, they file some lawsuit for violation of religion and conscience.

In following there logic, male and male, female and female can be active partners. Why do we need any separation of the sexes? If we are going to be fare to all, males and females should be together too.

Got a couple of examples here.

Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in camo, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you’re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU... The one who turns to his fellow soldiers and says, “thats HIM”....

“WHAT EACH KISS MEANS”
- Kiss on the Forehead: We’re cute together .
- Kiss on the Cheek: We’re friends.
- Kiss on the Hand: I adore you.
- Kiss on the Neck: I want you, now.
- Kiss on the Shoulder: Your perfect.
- Kiss on the Lips: I LOVE YOU...
____________________________________________________
WHAT EACH GESTURE MEANS:
- Holding Hands: We definitely like each other.
- Holding you tight pressed against each other: I want you.
- Looking into each other’s Eyes: I like you, for who you are.
- Playing with Hair: Let’s fool around.
- Arms around the Waist: I like you too much to let go.
- Laughing while Kissing: I am completely comfortable with you.

In the 70s when I was an E-7 I went through the race relations training classes too, and every year after that. I had to sit thru that crap taught by a black officer and got dumped on by blacks, Hispanics women and the one Asian American person there for the next four hours. Most whites resented having to put up with that crap and the climate at work got worse because then we had to put up with the “attitudes” after words.

IMHO this cay acceptance crap will be resented just as much.

Yup. You can avoid anything if you really want to. I avoided the Anthrax shots for 7 years before I retired. It was kind of difficult, but doable.

It was also during the 70’s for me.

We also had one on alcoholism. It was done by a Catholic priest. Surprisingly it was pretty good.

It sux to be you guys., I was sent to the EO course in Vilseck and had a whole lot of bad experiences from those who are not willing to conform, but want special privileges. The sad part of my experience was that the instructors were retired military, and they made it a point to vilify SF troops.
