I wasn't talking to you.

But it your feelings are hurt, I'll say it to you directly:

You're whining.

Honestly, since we are throwing out names that won’t take the helm, Cheney more than anyone else, is who I like to see in charge right now.

What makes you think they’d be any better dealing with a situation like this than she would? Neither have them have any military expreience, any foreign policy experience, any national secuirty experience.

Why would you be any more comfortable if Mitch Daniels was on top of this? Is he going to stop the Muslim Brotherhood? Is Haley Barbour going to save Mubarak?

I’m not saying she’s a genius or anything, but I’d be fine with her in the WH. She’d have a good VP. A solid natl security team. If she had people like Bolton, McCain, some good military types, other outside advisors all there, she’d be in as good a position as anyone else.

Bush served two terms as Governor and look at all the stuff he got us into. Clinton served 5 terms. Do you want him back? Dukakis served 3 terms as Governor, would he have been a good President?

Muhammad Baradei, the prospective Egyptian MB leader, did everything in his power to block, hide, any real look see into Iran’s nuclear program. Look for him, if he comes to power, to do what he can to obtain an Eyyptian bomb for immediate use...

The Caliphate is near.

That is what Iran and Pakistan are saying today.

The WH is furiously trying to get a quick push poll so they know which words will best benefit Dear Reader.

Obama helped start this with his harsh words last night toward Mubarak. He has blood on his hands.

>> “Maybe it’s the American in me, but I truly believe that all people just want to be free.” <<

.
Then why does half of this country advocate for tyranny?

People want something for nothing. Whoever promises more something for less nothing is a “charismatic leader.”

The wonderful, friendly world that you imagine just doesn’t exist.

During DESERT STORM there were military officers reading up on prophecy and looking for clues about what might happen. Just sayin.

(Luckily or not we kicked the can down the road that time)

Oh, this is “Democracy” at it’s “finest”.

It’s MOB RULE, soon to be followed by a Totalitarian Islamofascist rule! And they “voted” it in without hesitation or a second thought. Which is what “Democracy’s” do.

This is very dangerous and scary folks! And they know that the USA is in such bad condition economically that we will spend the next several months avoiding it or having Public Polls over what to do!

I just can't help but think Obama is getting off to all of this in the White House. Seeing The Muslim Brotherhood in the streets. A shout out in the WH?

I've said it many times - Obama is a green light to Islam and any terrorist, dictator, despot nation to do what they want. They know we will do nothing. What he doesn't realize (or doesn't care), it puts us, the American people at risk. Thanks Obama voters. . Now we just wait until 2012?

Press briefings at White House and State Department BOTH ‘postponed’...someone is voting ‘present’.

CNN reporting that WH and State briefings cancelled because they want Mubarek to speak to Egypt first.

“The few comments I’ve seen from the Israeli side have been pretty mild and non-committal - if they’re calling up reserves and going on alert, as they should have already done, they’re *really* low-keying it....”

I don’t think the danger to Israel is near term. It’s going to take some time for the Islamists to kill or intimidate the democracy advocates and to deal with the army. After the Islamists have consolidated power is when things are going to get rough.

Besides, what could Israel say here? “We, for one, welcome our new Muslim Brotherhood overlords,” doesn’t really work for them. “We support Mubarak,” just makes things worse. So silence is golden.

The threat to our interests is more immediate. I hope our embassy has a “delete *.*” command ready to go and I hope we’re doing something about shredding paper today.

The threat to the Coptic Christians is immediate too. A lot of them could die during chaos.

It feels like we’re slouching toward the Tribulation.

keep in mind things don’t happen immediately. When Iran fell Khomeini didn’t make his move right away. He came in and set up a moderate govt with secular partners and a secular PM and played to the west. The media was all abuzz about what a holy man he was, like Ghandi or something. He used the time to build up his strength, consolidate power, and eliminate the opposition.

Eventually within a year or two he made his move, dumped the PM and the facade and the mullas took total control.

So, the MB may not fully take over right away. They may have some front men already lined up to present the moderate face to the world. Guys to take th flak and provide cover while they set up behind the scenes and get ready for the final takeover.

But if Obama has really lost Egypt to the Ikhwan we are in big trouble.

The demonstrations earlier in the week were “spontaneous” but today the Muslim Brotherhood called for demonstrations across the country. And there well may be some true freedom-loving people caught up in this, who really DO desire a democratic government, but they are not the ones who will have the power when this is over.
