” And we can expect that announcement very soon. “

Sadly, and frighteningly, that ‘announcement’ make take the form of a mushroom cloud over Tel Aviv...

(Hint - missiles and bombers are not the only way to ‘deliver’ nuclear weapons...)

Mubarak should have swiftly and silenty deported El Baradei the minute they laid hands on him instead of putting him under house arrest.

Now the lootin' tootin' muzzies have a leader to rally around.

BTW, if he's on his way to the Square, what happened to the "house arrest"? Something weird is afoot.

I see from tweets that the rioting youth in Egypt are excited to hear from MB ElBaradei...it will be short lived.

Soon they will be just another ME country with suicide bombs going off every hour.

Sad.

And just imagine what our billions in aid will be going towards now...instead of the protection of Israel, we will be paying for their distruction.

And we heard the same thing in 1979. How the Ayatollah Khomeini would govern and rule Iran with Justice and fairness according to the Laws of the Koran. (And have “free” elections as well!)

“BTW, if he’s on his way to the Square, what happened to the “house arrest”? Something weird is afoot.”

Good question. I think decisions have been made.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Late on Friday night, ElBaradei was placed under house arrest amid mounting opposition to Mubarak’s despotic rule as tens of thousands of anti-government protesters clashed with police in several cities in Egypt.
ElBaradei was was confined to his residence as unprecedented countrywide protests turned violent.
Speaking of former IAEA Chief Mohamed ElBaradei, reports now say that the Egyptian government has placed him under house arrest after he tried to join today’s protests, and police beat some of his supporters when they tried to protect him.
I would imagine that now, our Federal extortion payments to Egypt will go to fund more than Israel’s destruction, it may also go to install Islamofascist rule through the entire ME! But keep that Oil coming!
And to think that now the Terrorists have our best weapons, Air Bases, Tanks (A-1 Abrams) and Missile Defense batteries, targeting systems, etc, that can easily be converted into offense.
And not one objection or effort from this government to stop this!
Wonder what he said. According to this link...
ElBaradei joins protesters in Cairo's Tahrir Square
...not much, not to reporters anyway. So does that mean he didn't say anything to people in attendance?
Just great, one of the most corrupt, a scheming snake, who trumpets his own "accomplishments as if biblical", during his stint at the IAEA may now be in charge on the Israeli border.
God help us all.
Well, (as we on FR said then) Obama did telegraph his goals in 08...the destruction of US economic and military power.
And the destruction of Israel as a State.
Well Done Obama, total failure, we are so so screwed here.
“In the streets of Cairo, many protesters are now openly denouncing the United States”
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/01/29/AR2011012904417.html?wprss=rss_world
OUCH : “We believe America is against us,” said Emad Abdel Halim, 31. “Until now, Obama didn’t talk to the Egyptian people. He didn’t support the Egyptian people.”
“Tell Obama to forget about Mubarak,” said Islam Rashid, 26. “He is done.”
.................This is so not looking good in our favour.
FRiend, that is now a forgone conclusion.
Israel will first be issued an ultimatum, Get out of Gaza immediately, divide the territories and the UN will install Palestinian National Sovereign authority in the region.
Israel was the last great threat to Iran and it's master plan for Islam.
Thousands of cheering supporters welcome Tunisian Islamist party leader on return from exile
Canadian Press via Google ^ | January 30,2011 | Bouazza Ben Bouazza
TUNIS, Tunisia — The leader of a long-outlawed Tunisian Islamist party was welcomed at the airport by thousands of cheering supporters on Sunday as he returned to his homeland after more than two decades in exile.
Rachid Ghanouchi and about 70 other exiled members of Ennahdha, or Renaissance, flew home from Britain two weeks after autocratic President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali was forced from power by violent protests. Ghanouchi took up a megaphone to address the crowd outside the airport, but his voice was drowned out by shrill ululating cries and shouts of “God is great!”
...
The new activism by Islamists — who want a role for Islam in their country’s politics — is feeding jitters that extremism may be on the rise in Tunisia, long a Westward-looking nation proud of its modern identity: women enjoy widespread freedoms, Muslim headscarves are banned in public buildings and abortions, a deep taboo in most Muslim societies, are legal.
Ennahdha insists that fears of radicalism have no merit. Before leaving London, Ghanouchi tried to reassure the country’s women, saying he believed they deserve “the freedom to study, to work and to help build the country, whether they wear the veil or not.”
Right there we see the power of words. If the war the west is waging since 2001 had not been named WOT but WOI this creep would have spent his time in jail in Britain (at best).
